Default 2008 Corrado

I believe this was in the December 2005 Road and Track.

2008 VW Corrado

Built on the Golf V front drive platform, it will have three engine trims available.
The 170 hp Twincharger 1.4L.
The 200 hp 2.0T.
And possibly the 250 hp 3.2L V6.

This is very exciting. As long as it performs like the old one did this will be an amazing car. I hope it comes close to the old ones reputation. It looks like a really aggressive car.

I have attached a scanned picture of the article.

This is a load of crap

Volkswagen isn't going to produce the Corrado again

Not in the near 10 years

The old Corrado was a great car and many people can't accept it that VW stoped producing it, so the write these things, in the hope to get the car back

That would be awesome if they would come out with the Corrado again, but not pull a GM and not make it suck like what they did with the GTO. I haven't gotten my R&T yet, did they say anything about weight anywhere else in the mag?

Yea, I am scared thats what will happen if it comes out. Same with the Scirocco, I dont know if they can live up to their predecessors. And no I think thats all the information they had on it.

i read this article, and it got me excited. i think it looks good, and with the R32 engine that they are putting in almost every car, it will preform too. aslong as its good quality (dont being up anything about Mexico Igaboj, or accually, anything about anything) ill like it.

VW needs very badly to get another sports car in the lineup. I don't think the R32 is enough. They also need to put the r32 on a serious diet or crank more horsepower out of that engine because 240 isn't nearly enough. That picture though does look really good.

they upgraded it so its up with the TT engine. its now like 250hp. thats not an ungodly ammount of power, but its still enough to make a car fast.

I didn't know they did that. Cool. My major problem is the weight we're talking about a hatch back and it weighs at least 3400 pounds. I realize it's all wheel drive, but it shouldn't way to much more than 3000 pounds. IMHO
