No way. The drag from the brush bar along with the light bar is going to significantly kill the top speed.

It's some photoshop by a kid with too much free time.

I actually think more top speed is possible. The supercharger is under driven. With more drive there it could possible be faster, depending on the gearing

not to mention it's not as if this thing is tuned to the max like certain other vehicles, there's potential for alot more power with that 6.2 liter engine.

With more boost + more extreme cams I would estimate 700hp at least. Racing cams:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WNnSs_oN704
Crap idle but brings in a lot of air at high revs.

you guys remember how when the gt came out first thing people did was a pulley swap and remap the ecu for an extra 120 or so hp?

it'll be just like that with this car.

Plus a new ECU or a remap. When you change cams you need to make some changes to the ECU.

Hm, pretty good point. This happens to a lot of engines like (Evo's, Sti's, Supra's, GTR's Group VW's)

I don't think that with a remap you can get 100 hp from the new ZR1. I would say about +50hp.

He mentioned a pulley swap as well, that would be the cause of most of the hp gain. Pretty much, the ZR1 is sold so that the supercharger spins very slowly in comparison to that engine and other superchargers. You can change the pulley system on it so that the supercharger will spin faster in relation to the engine, which moves more air and in turn increases the power. All the remap would be for is to compensate for the extra air.

Has the in-car video of the Nurburgring lap been released yet?

Supposed to be out this week - I think I heard it might be out on the 7th, but I can't guarantee that.

How much more boost was it running though? 120 sounds like a lot. It already has 500 so then it would be up to 620 from a 5.4 which is more than the Viper's 8.4.

your getting some statistics ****ed up homie, this aint the z06 we be talkin bout

the zr1 has 620 hp as it is, with what, like 5 pounds of boost? (out of a 6.2 liter engine btw, chevy did not put the ford triton 5.4 liter v8 in their flag ship model)

little pulley swap here and there and you could EASILY see a couple hundred more hp, reliably at that

some serious tuning could push that engine to well over 1.5 or 2k hp. what im talking about is just the little stuffs

Okay... Here is Kenne Bell's website... They are comparing supercharger pulleys on the GT. Its running on 12psi stock...

http://www.kennebell.net/supercharge...GT/Ford_GT.htm
I'm using it as an reference.

SRT ....PSI doesn't mean anything...superchargers have different efficiencies..

Some superchargers will make more power at 9psi than others will at 13psi

whipple chargers work better at top end RPM's than most, kenne bells work well because they push in gobs of air at low RPM's...

it's all variable my friend..

I'm assuming the GT uses Eatons..(avg run of the mill) but a Eaton at 12PSI is like a Kenne Bell big liter at 7psi.

The Ford GT does use Eaton superchargers. They are a roots style supercharger.
