Holy hell! Now that came out of left field. No rumors, no suggestions. Nothing. Pretty damn cool, I must say. It'll be some good competition for that Dodge Challenger concept. And even though it's nice, I don't think this will hurt the sales of the Mustang.

Got me on price... I would imagine the LS7 engine will be about 7-10K more than the LS2... So probably where the last SS camaro left off..."High Powered" Camaros have always been expensive. To build my junker today would be about the same price as a GTO.
Mopar This one might hurt the Stang it has a back seat and a trunk! |

Umm here... From Car and Driver..  Muscle: That's the first word that comes to mind upon seeing Chevy's concept Camaro. Big-time muscle. Enough to possibly make Arnold think about switching allegiances within the GM family. Build it and they will come; drop the 500-plus-bhp Corvette Z06 engine into a Z28 version and name your price. Andrew Bornhop, Editor, R&T Specials, provides the insightful commentary to the accompanying video. Among the numerous bits of info, Bornhop reports that the new Camaro could launch as a 2009 model. AARRGGHH! We can't wait that long! Mr. Lutz: Commit to a 2008 model launch and watch the buyers line up. Quite a suprise actually being official, unlike the other hordes of photoshops that we've all seen. Really good idea, GM should never have gotten rid of it in the first place, while at the same time keeping models that hardly got any sales, like the monte carlo.

I personally like the look of the new challenger concept better.
Looks more a muscle car should. But back to the Camaro... It would be perfect if when they actually produce it they flaten out the front a bit. More like a 69.

It seems to be a mix of every generation... I see the First (obviously) the Second (tail end),, Third (look at the shape and headlights on the front end) and the F22 design from the 4th.

Hah Yeah,, thats Great... GT500 is a Shelby endorsed Mustang(somewhat rare), Where as thats just a Z-28...
Then: 1. Why do you need more power? 2. Its sad you have to supercharge at all 3. Notice how you picked an expensive ass hard to find car versus a common Chevy... I love Ford Guys...lol |
