Default Cadillac CTS-V Sport Wagon Confirmed

Ready for this? The CTS-V Wagon gets the green light from the front office... Sick. A RS6, M5, and the CTS-V wagon variants... Just when the power wars were going to end....

Quote:
According to a recent report, GM vice chairman, Bob Lutz has announced Cadillac will build a CTS-V Sport Wagon.
While details are limited, the forthcoming model will likely be powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine with 556 horsepower and 551 ft-lbs of torque. Weighing a tad more than the sedan, the CTS-V wagon should be able to accelerate from 0-60 mph in around 4.1 seconds (the sedan accomplishes the same task in 3.9 seconds).
When a Car and Driver writer asked if the CTS-V wagon was confirmed, Lutz responded "You'll be able to get the CTS-V any way you want." Vague, but probably accurate - the CTS-V wagon will be joined by the CTS-V Coupe next summer.

This one is a meh for me, I'll wait for the coupe and see what happens

Looks great! 4.1 seconds for a sports wagon is quite fast

I remember the pics of the CTS wagon on the street and it was a freaking porker and a half.

If this is going to have a manual... I'm going to love it.

The Dodge Magnum SRT8 was a disappointment as it only came with a communist-filled gearbox. This just may answer my prayers for a nice RWD American wagon with a manual transmission.

Oh, and I've always had a respect for the CTS in general (especially the V series). Their styling is so bold yet elegant. Well, Cadillac in general now has such styling.

i think this thing is the best looking out of the three (coupe, sedan, wagon) but its still hideous. The headlights and grill just kill it for me. C63 anyday

I hate to be the wet blanket (actually, I don't care) but it seems that GM is focusing a little too much on cars that don't matter. Sure, everyone's excited about a CTS-V wagon, but why? It's a completely ridiculous car. The CTS-V sedan is cool, the coupe will be better... the wagon would actually sell with 4wd and a diesel.

But, I guess if you're going to drive a company and an economy into the ground, you might as well throw in a few collector's items.

All it needs is that bab on board sticker and you are good to go and rip the streets apart.

Finally this new side to GM.

Just by looking at that one picture I can say without a doubt that don't like it. I can't imagine myself owning this wagon. The back half of the car, the wagon part, looks.....well it doesn't look right to me. The whole thing looks really tall. I don't get this at all.

Meh.

CTS-V sedan for me.

The exhaust note is not going to be any big surprise. Look up the CTS-V sedan.

btw, Aaron Rodgers blows hard.
