Dude...If people realize how precious oil is..they arn't going to buy the F150 you jack ***...-.-;;They'd buy a Volkswagen Diesel....

Second...if YOU ever bought a truck....There's a bunch of other factors that key in.. Like Brand loyalty...And how does it SOUND....
If I have a sales pitch to make on a bunch of people between 3 v8's and one v6....and they want towing power..I don't care what kind of #'s the v6 puts down..not everyone is going to go for the v6.....MOST people probably wouldn't...

A HUGE example of that is with the next X box....
It's not being called the X box 2. It's being called the X box 360..You know why? Because tested people felt that if they saw 2 competing items and one was called the "ps3" and one was the "xbox2" most people would buy the 3 because they'd think it was "newer/bigger/better"..

Look, people need to tow things. You aren't going to tow your dirbike in a Volkswagen TDI. Dream on. If Ford advertises it properly, it will sell.

Why not? I've seen lots of cars with trailor hitches....And if the car has the torque..why not? I've put a Polaris in the trunk of a 1980 Lincoln Versailles. It was hanging half out, but it got it where it needed to be.

ok, who cares about sales here. we are discussing if the engine is good or not, not if it will sell good. and frankly, its a good engine, its a good idea, and its got the Ford name. it will sell.

Indeed. Good engine, ample power, will save gas.. sound doesn't really matter unless you're buying a truck just because it's a truck, though you will never use it.

I don't know.. it seems awkward to me.. i6 would perform better then the v6, I think it should be octane crate engine..
