Thumbs up

I've always preferred factory supplied upgrades/packages
(i.e. Viper ACR & in this case the Z06 Carbon). This Vette
is dead sexy !

How does the Z06 Carbon stack up (US$ wise) to the Viper ACR ?

Less $ jojo as the carbon shouldn't cross the 100k threshold. But who's to say.

Better brakes (night and day)

I take it no one's ever seen a z06 on the street that says it looks the same..

Cause it doesn't..

In Az i see c6's left and f'ing right..
but i can ALWAYS spot a z06 from a mile away, because the stance the front end and how much more wide it is than a standard C6..

That's BEFORE i get a chance to see the side vents..

and a ZR1? I'm sorry but i never see corvettes on "dubs" unless it's a ZR1....Not to mention the usually limited edition paint schemes.
Nice arrows, lol. Just to let everyone know, there are ways to make a stock C6 look like a Z06 and be just as wide. If you can find a place to do it, you need the wider fenders, wider wheels, and the Z06 brake package. (you don't really necessarily need the bigger brakes) The doors on both regular C6 and Z06 are the same and just as wide, it's just the fenders, front bumper and wider wheels that make the Z06 wider.

Many members on the Corvette forum have stock C6s that have the Z06 widebody. They look identical to a real Z06, they're just as wide, they have the little Z06 spoiler, the stance is the same, and the good ones even have the Z06 brakes. Not even a car enthusiast would be able to tell it apart from the real deal when it's cruising down the road. Now when it parks and you check what's under the hood that's a different story.. Most members however don't add the "Z06" emblems on the side as they do the widebody conversion mainly for aesthetic reasons.

I personally wouldn't go through the hassle of putting a widebody on my C6 and not having the performance of a Z06, I'd rather just sell mine and get a Z06 of the same year. I may however do what a lot of Corvette forum members do and just get the Z06 wide rear to put wider rims/tires in the back.(the regular C6 has those brake air ducts but they're underneath the car and not on the side)

Here's a nice example of what I'm talking about. It still has the stock C6 brakes but it looks bad ass.

And a nice Convertible.

Anyway I went way off topic.. this Z06 is definately very nice and tastefully designed.

Well said wesley pipes. I don't understand why people hop on the jeremy clarkson band wagon calling the corvette a plastic bucket... I'm done with arguing with those type.

dude star-burst... the corvette is extremely plasticy.

But plastic is not a bad thing... modern plastic is light, structurally very rigid, makes for a great material.

Semantics Coop...

starburst - skittle

plastic - fiberglass

the latter rings better in my ear...

Well I actually like the silver coupe. I'd remove that spoiler though.

The convertible's wheels are a hit or miss for styling, I forget what brand they are but they cost a fortune... Honestly it would have looked awesome if he just put Z06 rims on there.

That silver one is a ricer by definition. (Its where the show car vs. ricer argument gets fuzzy)

All parts on the car are for show and no go. Hence its rice. That being said, the silver one looks awesome -the spoiler.
