When I hear Station wagon competition I to think off BTCC in 1995.
Volvo did kick ass with their 850 station wagon

Station wagons arent really practical racing machines. Like the Historic People Carriers Championship (or somethin like that) they had on Top Gear. That was hilarious.

Whole Europe where laughing at Volvo when they did show up on BTCC with a 850 station wagon. And Volvo did prove them al wrong and took a record number of pole positions and a third place in the championship in 1995
