Errr.. You want to make it faster, louder and have a bumpin stereo? That's gonna be hard with hardly any cash. I'm not familiar with speakers and stereos and stuff. Maybe getting new bigger speakers maybe? Does that work? But if you want to make it louder (engine wise I mean), just get a sports/racing exhaust, or if you wanna dumb, just cut the exhaust off.

To make it faster there is a million ways. But with a tight budget, ECU upgrade is good. Exhaust upgrade will increase power too. But its hard to think of stuff thats cheap. You can get a cold air induction kit which can be around US$200-ish. It brings a a fair bit of extra power.

for the stereo getting a new head unit and replacing the speakers with ones that will run some more power and you could even go for an amplifier but look to spend ~$1500 on a pretty good head unit, speakers, wiring kit, instillation and an amp will just make it go up more, that sounds like too much cash for you. I'm just interested but why did you buy that car in the first place if you just want to change it now?

um well actually, ive thought about it, and i think ima get a job and save hella money. i didnt buy the matrix, my mother did, and it was either the matrix or a rav 4, and from past cars ive had (4 runner) i wanna go small. so i was thinking, getting a trd supercharger, better air intake, better exhaust, one of those performance chips, and tint hahaha and so forth.

You drive a shortened, lowered station wagon, and facelifted station wagon. Don't waste your time. Toyota hasn't made a decent sports car since the Supra 8 years ago.

my boyfriend has one that is trd supercharged, with an intake full exhaust, rims, system etc. and he loves the car. yeah its not the fastest car, and it definitely can't be compared to the supra. but give the guy a break, hes wanting to get into the scene. my best suggestion would be go to toyota, pick up the trd catalog and go from there they look really nice just lowered on rims. by the way, your car supercharged with a few other mods, will beat the new mazdaspeed 6. found that out the other day haha. good luck man.

well it is definitely not cheap, but they wont void the warranty if you get it in writing from the dealership you can always google trd performance parts for the matrix or any other variation of that and you should find out more info.

About the stereo... You can get very good deals on ebay, and teh best boom for the buck, is Audiobahn. You can get Audiobahn stuff for a very low prices, and they are very good reliable and powerful products.
Just don't buy an Audiobahn stereo. They're hideous. The speakers/amps are among the best on the industry and they are not that expensive. And get an Alpine head unit. I can tell you: I got one, a 9865 mp3/cd player, and it is the best head unit ever.
If you feel ricey, you could get tv's and stuff, but i don't like those things, so i can't help you with that.
