Default Top Marques Monaco 2009

Here's some photo coverage of this year's show. My friend lent me his camera in exchange for my PS3 so the photos should be better than usual.

I was surprised at how many tuned cars were there this year... taking the place of some of the big names: Ferrari, Lotus, Audi... were all absent. Still, I wouldn't call it a disappointment, in fact it was really rather special.

If anyone wants, all photos are available in bigger size - just ask.

You'll see a bunch of detail shots because its really difficult to get a pic of the whole car without people in the way.

I'll start off with what was arguably the star of the show... Pagani's new Zonda R. I was skeptical when I saw the first shots of this car but I must say when you see it in real, it all comes together. The craft is beautiful, it's simply a work of art. Just look.

Fisker... stunning.

Gemballa were also present and brought along a lot of cars.

Another Porsche tuner, Ruf with their Cayman-based supercar.

A tuned R8 - forgot the name.

Koenigsegg always present

AC are back!

Mercedes with a mildly boring display

Representing the Russians...

An old Mini propelled by a motorbike engine (don't ask me which). Here too, the workmanship was amazing, very neat.

Anyone know what model this Bugatti is? Looks expensive.

A very cool motorbike

Veyron by Mansory. Did not like it at all, that's why you're only getting two pics!

Gumpert... caught out in a sudden hail storm!

Wiesmann... always producing something pretty.

There's still a bunch of stuff I haven't photographed... so expect an update tomorrow.

Great pics Marco, really just some great cars there. I was wondering if you could get the picture of the Zonda's exhaust in a larger size. Thanks in advance

That Audi R8 is the PPI Razor GTR. Note the front license plate....

Nice photography, am sure the Zonda R is the star of anyshow to come. Pagani's work never failed to impress.

Ifou get a chance, go back to where that Gumpert Apollo was and take some pictures of the wide flare smart in the background. I've always been a fan of tuned up smarts.

That is one great camera!

Great work as usual Marco, but man, the clarity and crispness of those images is impeccable!

That bike is a Biomota Tesi 3D. Another attempt by Biomota to prove that their steering system, pull rod system is what it is called, it looks just completely different. That Wiessman looks amazing w/ the oversized wheels and the small tire profile. Such a looker it is.

Holy shiit.

the camera is not only amazing, but the pictures taken are just gorgeous.

I'd love a high res of the pics.. especially the Veyron, and the Zonda.

my fav pic was the portrait Zonda shot, if only it was actually landscape.. it would've made it to my wallpaper. still. Can I have the high res pics of the Zonda and the Veyron?

You said Lotus were absent, but seriously, right now, to have this thing anywhere is pretty special, getting hold of one right now is near impossible as they don't want them out and about until the big launch in a certain place in Europe which I will not divulge.

Ok I'm going back in a bit I'll try remember. There were 3 Brabus Smarts there so it shouldn't be too dofficult!

Yeh I love it too. The last picture of it has a slight fish eye effect, I'm actually standing really close to the car. It makes it look even more curvy.

You're absolutely right... I don't know why I said Lotus were absent, I just got "confused" cause they weren't in the main hall... lol

Great pics man. Seriously, they could be published in print they are that good.

Do they hand out bibs when you walk in? I'd need one so I didn't drool all over myself.

btw, my favs are the Wiesmanns. I have never seen one in real life.

I want a Weismann Coupe and Roadster so bad!

That Mansory Veyron looks awesome... do you have any shots from the front?
