1 dollar is .55555 pounds. I can't believe the Brits are paying $54.995 a gallon.

Lol, 99p is equivalent to 0.99 pounds. p is like cents and pounds like dollars lol.Here we pay about $1.00 per L CDN.

.99p/gallon = +/- $1.70/gallon. No way. I don't believe that for one second. $1.70/liter, now thats more like it.

Yeah. Anything that requires basic math skills would not go over well in the US. We like to keep our units vague, keeps our upper hand on the world.

Cheapest here in N.H. is 2.58. I'm not complaining, they pay a lot more in Europe.
