Default 3,000 dollar boo boo

Peterbilt 379X. From what they said one of the gears split and slowly tore the rest of it apart. And it's an '05!

That'd mean '05 is not a good year for peterbilts. Kind of like wine. Sometimes old stuff is better

Anyways, looks like a neat mess alright. Only seen something lik e that once before

I'm a partner in a small trucking company. We haul flatbed freight. So far we haven't had problems with the 05 Pete's. For 140,000 dollars there better not be too many! lol. It was probably a spin out (the tires slip and then grab hard). Thats what usually causes it. It's under warranty tough so it's just down time that costs us now.

Yeah really! lol. I drive everything like it's a sports car... except these things. The new Acert Cat motors will get up and go though. Without a trailer they'll break a hundred easy. Not too bad for a 20,000 pound truck.

It's a C-15 Caterpillar motor, 575 hp, 1750 lbs of torque, Eaton Fuller 3:55 diffs, 18 speed Eaton tranny. And no, I'm not a 'trucker' anymore! lol. I was a tow truck operator for seven years then got my class A license to drive triple axle wreckers and got into this business by accident. I got the opportunity to buy a used Kenworth a couple years ago and then I went into business with a friend of my dads and its grown from there.
