New in here..
Heya guys
 ops: Of course I'm new....I'm Latin America and found this site searching for some info. I personally like racing cars and tunning. I don't race my car though... I'm 22 years old and also I'm studying psychology.  I have one question: What's the meaning of Type R? What's the meaning of the "R" in car models such as: Nissan GTS R Jaguar R VW R 32 y prototipo R Audi Rs Celica GT-R Porsche Carrera RS????  see ya :wink:

Hi CAT, welcome to the forum!
The oldest 'R' I can think of is the 50's/60's Jaguar R coupe, whcih probably was there before any Honda R Type's. Howeve NiGiz the R doesnt always stand for Racing! Like he Ford RS, the R stands for Rally (Rallye Sport - as does it stand for the RS of the Camaro's :wink  |

New here as well. Name is David, Israel. Born 1984 loves cars, tuning and car audio... Currently in my army service in Israel (can't get away from being drafted) and hoping to move to either Canada or Italy after my army service. I'll add my question as well :wink: How much tuning can you apply to a hyundai lantra '96 and what do you need to change in the chasis and wheel base in order to make it rallye applicable. Cheers. |
