Default Stuttgart trip : Mercedes-Benz & Porsche Museum (loads of pics)

last week, i went to Stuttgart for a study trip, and while there, got the opportunity to visit the Mercedes and Porsche Museum. both were really exhilarating to visit, with my favourite museum being the Mercedes museum. onwards to the pics!

Mercedes-Benz Museum:

this is one of my favourite Mercedes ever:

a special one-off carrier for the legendary 300 SLR:

this was a one-off car that Mercedes used to record road test data for upcoming models via some wires:

this particular W140 S-class was once owned by Arnold Schwarzenegger:

the legendary 722 300SLR:

the Mercedes T80, a car that im really hoping Mercedes will one day restore and attempt what it was produced for:

that's it for the Mercedes-Benz Museum. now for the Porsche Museum. as most of u know, the museum just opened a few weeks ago, and i felt really excited that im one of the first visitors to the museum

saw a couple of these roaming around the area:

inside the museum:

entering the exhibition area:

the concept Boxster:

notice that Porsche left the car's bodywork as it is (slight damages):

evolution of the 911 (each car are placed on slow rotating surfaces):

this custom 928 was built for Ferry Porsche as a personal family car:

that's it for the museum, but that's not all! right in front of the museum is Stuttgart's Porsche showroom:

a very cool cutaway of the 997 Turbo:

clearly a Carrera GT:

another Carrera GT for sale:

that's it for the pics! all in all, the trip was really great for me, i really enjoyed every bit of visiting the museums!

Wow, a lot of history there. The cuttaway of the 911 Turbo is epic. Beautiful pictures of both Mercedes and Porsche.... I love it.

Well, i must say you're one lucky son of a bish! lol jk.

Those are some sweet pics no doubt, amazing eye candy.

One question tho, why is there a beetle in the Porsche museum?

I'll be going (in fact, staying very close to) Stuttgart in about 2 weeks time, thanks for reminding me of this museum!

If I may, how was the language barrier for those who have gone?

Because Porsche partly owns VW.

Well, yea i know that, but one would figure that they would have Porsche's only.

Anyway, was just looking over pics again, I WANT TO GO! lol.
