Default I have single handedly discovered why Chevrolet is having so rough a time

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RlvQLQTtOmk

the price gm/chevy must have paid to get this reaction from jeremy clarkson must have been astronomical

that, or the following options, arranged from most to least likely:

1. the corvette zr-1 is just awesome. pure awesome

2. GM/Chevrolet has paid must have been enough to buy the Isle of Man

3. Jeremy Clarkson has finally stopped being a biased american hating fool

he hates it but he can't help but love it..

Because it really is everything he's ever said he wanted out of a 500+ hp "supercar"

a CLUTCH pedal..

Power

a stick shift

Easy to read display

Simple controls for traction control on/off

comfort and ride quality

it is GAUDY in looks and he makes it apparent, but it's obvious he only "doesn't" like the car when he's looking at it from the outside..

Once he's in it, the power alone has made him forget what he was driving.

chevy rules the world..

Cobalt SS
Cadilac CTS-V
Corvette ZR1

Need i say more?

Jermey Clarkson doesn't hate American cars. He knows fully well that by bashing American cars and putting ANYTHING American into a retarded sterotype, his British audience (the ones that actually tune in rather than just download) will laugh more and therefore tune in more so he gets higher ratings.

Not only that, but that episode is pretty old man.

international? since joining the navy i've gone from the northwest, to the middle, and now to the mid/south-east of the mainland of America.

infact, when I go to the middle east I'll almost be closer to home than I am now, if china wasn't in the way

Well he did say the Ford GT was about as American as the American national anthem or something like that.

A Ford GT he promptly sold because the alarm system was broken and couldn't be fixed by the Ford dealer/mechanics.

Which he then didn't sell because he loved the car too much, then sold, then re-bought, and then sold again

Except he even claimed to like the Z06 when it came out years ago. This is nothing new. He bashes US cars for a laugh, and people find it funny. Just like US shows bash Britain. It works both ways. By joking about America, more people watch it, simple as.

except we dont really bash brittain. sure, your teeth are terrible, and your accents horrid, but other than those stereotype's (well those and the rich snob stereotype as well) no popular tv show regularly makes it a point of bashing europe's cars. you see an american car show that tests cars and they get their hands on a euro car and it's just another performance car, and they test for what it is. top gear is the only one that makes it a point to find fault in a vehicle for being made in america.

I actually saw a yellow C6 (or Z06, I can't rightly tell the difference enough, but I know for sure it wasn't a ZR1. Anyway.) in London today...after the 6 Jaguars, 6 Maseratis and 3 Astons I saw.

But Evo got it right I think. Watching the latest series, it felt so manufactured, so cliched, so predictable. Before they were more subtle about the differences between each other but I think now they are playing on it far too much for the sake of entertainment.
