Ok first I will start with the advantages and disadvantages of both sides...
Sega GT: Advantages: 1. The third one will be online 2. You can transfer your garage from Sega GT 2002 to Sega GT Online 3. Liscence tests are not as annoying as a lot of games 4. 12 people can race at the same time in SGTonline 5. Regular updates as download content for SGT Online on Xbox Live 6. Has the best Drag Racing setup to date 7. Buying and trading cars online Disadvantages: 1. The Original Sega GT is EXTREMELY hard to find 2. Will 12 people online be too much for a server to handle? 3. You have to unlock cars and parts and can only win any prize cars once and never buy them again 4. Annoying, yet easy way of making money 5. Crappy customization in Sega GT 2002 6. Trying to do the gear boost off the start can be very annoying 7. Test Course in SGT2002 is too small Gran Turismo: Advantages 1. Coming on to it's fourth game means that it has an experience advantage over SGTO 2. Will have THE BIGGEST selection of cars in any racing game ever to exist 3. Excellent Customization of cars 4. Has the best handling schematic in any racing game to date 5. You can pull of stunts and glitches that you can't in SGT and in GT4 you can fall off the Grand Canyon and just keep going lol... 6. Will have some VERY old cars i.e: some of the first lol... 7. You can reach incredible speeds on a long Test Course Disadvantages: 1. Endurance races to get the best cars are extremely time-consuming and boring 2. Limited Online play compared to SGT Online 3. No car damage makes winning much easier as you can hit walls and keep going 4. People like me have trouble keeping ahead of the other racers on 10-20 lap challenging races due to fatigue 5. Some of the courses are really crappy IMO 6. You lose horsepower PERMANENTLY if you keep your car on poor oil too long (very unrealistic) 7. Very strange difficulty ramp... and it can sometimes be a slope lol... All right which ones do you guys prefer? Btw for people who haven't played both, they are pretty much the same game unincluding those advantages and disadvantages which I listed... I prefer Sega GT due to less frustration |

I own all 3 Gran Turismos... number one I have trouble getting past the crappy graphics, number 2 I have never gotten around to trying... and here is my thoughts on number 3...
I was just playing one of the professional races... the stupid ****ing thing where you have to do a ****ing series of 10 races of 15 LOOOOOONNNNGGGG BORING lap races. Anyways I beat the first three. The fourth one, since I was using the F090/S (Formula One) was a bust because it is a bad car for the test course. The 5th place person passed me on the second last lap and for some unknown reason once I finished lap 14, it said "Finish Race!" I said "oh bleep!" You know this game would be a hell of a lot better if it didn't come with EXTREME FRUSTRATION and too much time required... Does anyone agree with me that the length of the races are ridiculous? And also is Gran Turismo 2 any better because I think I need a break (to cool off from GT3) so I can play a different one. Yeah I know I should try it and I DO have a **** of a lot of time on my hands (I will explain the story on another topic later)... anyways I'm rambling but is Gran Turismo 2 that much better. Can someone please tell me the differences? |

1) My vote goes to Gran Turismo.
2) How do u know that SEGA GT online has the best Drag Racing Setup, have u played it? (agitatedcorn) 3) Polyphony Digital want to include damage feature, but the car makers didn't want. 4) And at last, SGT has the worsed handling for a drive simulator. It's more like an arcade one.
