I just happened to have a coppy of vette-n-vestments price guide sitting within arms reach as I read this thread. A 1975 corvette in number 4 condition (in need of full restoration) is base valued at $5,600 for a t top model. Corvette magazine has listings for a couple of different companies that make replacement and custom frames for C3 vettes, and even one company that will build a new Z06 chassis to go under your old body.
This car had a 7% gain in value last year alone, but is one of the lowest valued corvettes on the market. It is a great platform for someone looking for a hobby car There are better deals out there though. I bought my 81 last summer for $2,500 cash. It needed a new battery, gas, and a new front tire to be driveable. |
