im telling you it is possible to build a 210hp 1.8 for $4000, you just do your own work. Easy.

:;cringe:: dont do a cold air intake unless you like sucking water into the engine, tiny puddles will be like landmines to that engine.

Yeah, since I have the funds to purchase a $12 - $15k ITR.

To: everyone that said a 200hp NA crx under $4000 isnt possible.

Eat a *corn puff* and do your research before telling others it cant be done.

if you plan to stay NA and are looking for a cheap reliable motor setup, you should look into a "ls/vtec". an integra b18a or b18b bottom end with a b16a or b18c head. new rods, pistons, injectors and a chipped ecu.. youll be close to 200 crank hp. a few more bolt ons and some good tuning should get you into your goal for whp.

if you choose to go the turbo route you should really check out www.homemadeturbo.com go the turbo route and you could more then likely go over 400hp in the same budget.

Hah....If you exclude the cost of the car, I say you can get 320HP out of the car Semi-reliably. But the cheaper you want to be, the more work you're going to have to do yourself. You can get a Type R and spend ALOT of money for no reason, or you can do the smart thing. Either get yourself a B16A SiRII (170HP out of the can) or a USDM B18C1, both are the cheapest DOHC Vtec engines you can find out there. and go piece together a turbo kit off of e-bay and machine shops.

Go get yourself some ARP HEAD studs, and a performance gasket and you'll be making 300HP With minimal ECU Tuning no problem.

If you get yourself a B18B...Once again get some ARP hardware and piece a kit together (always the cheapest way)..But you just have to know what you're doing..You more you can do yourself the more money you'll save. With leftover money I sudgest some computer tuning hardware and cooling system upgrades, because the last thing you want is a REAAAALLLYY hot aluminum block.
