Unhappy Stirling Moss Hospitalized after 3 Story Fall

Quote:
1950s formula 1 great Sir Stirling Moss is in intensive care after a three-story fall at his home in London.
The 80-year-old Briton, who won 16 grands prix, is not in a life-threatening condition but has broken ankles, feet and vertebrae damage.
The Daily Mail newspaper reported that, with the lift in his house malfunctioning and remaining at the fourth floor, Moss stepped into the shaft on the third floor and fell to the concrete base.
"Amazingly he did not suffer any internal injuries," confirmed British Racing Drivers' Club secretary Stuart Pringle, who said Moss has been operated on.
"Lady (Susan) Moss has just telephoned me and although Sir Stirling is not in good shape, he is no longer in danger," he added.

Lift =

Or =

I'm assuming it's the later because the first doesn't have a shaft...

Gangster that he has an elevator but how did he manage to get into the elevator shaft?

Amazing that he's alive. He's a healthy guy. A 3 story fall is nothing to joke about even being as young as this membership is...

^^^ Correct.

'Lift' in British English = 'elevator' in American English.

But yes, terrible thing to happen to anyone. I hope the man makes a full recovery.

No 80 year old human falls 3 feet without breaking half their skeleton, let alone 3 stories.

Sir Moss can't be human. I wonder... does he have a digital face? An aversion to ducks?

It's a shame, but as he said to his son in the ambulance 'I am not ready to go yet'

Stirling are cigarettes. Moss is millions of years old.

This man is a 3 million yr old cigarette.

I would give $100 USD for a video of Stirling Moss being asked by a Cop, "Who do think you are, Stirling Moss? As a matter of fact I am..."

After long recovery from serious injuries; Moss was 3 seconds slower in the same car. He retired immediately. He did not start driving slow.

Innes Ireland wrote a hilarious report of himself and Moss attending the debut of the E30 323i in Sardinia '82/'83. After they were ferried to the mainland; Moss was WOT/dump clutch at tollbooths. He bitched about aero drag when Innes had the pass. window cracked to vent pipe smoke.

Looking for Stirling to kick critics in the butt...
