Le Mans: DTM drivers strengthen Audi team at Le Mans

The three DTM drivers Mike Rockenfeller, Alexandre Premat and Lucas Luhr will be driving the third factory Audi at Le Mans 2007. Mattias Ekström is reserve driver in case Tom Kristensen won't fully recover from the affects of his crash at Hockenheim before Le Mans.

it would be fun to watch, i hope. Although i still like F1 over any other racing stuff....

I'm gonna watch all of the Le Mans this year ! Not like last year were I was too tired !

Yeah, Le Mans is so interesting. You know who's gonna win a half year before the actual race!

By the way, I just noticed that the #1 and #2 Audi will be from Audi Sport North America while this third one will be from the the German Audi Sport Team Joest team. Now what does that mean, and what is the point of it? They're all Audi factory entries, and yet they're from two different teams.
Plus, Wolfgang Ullrich recently noted that the Swiss Spirit Lola Audi project is a really serious one, and in the same vein as the R10 and DTM programs.
I mean I think this will make for some rivalry between the different Audi teams and drivers so everything will be totally chaotic and the Peugeots will win!

If Mattias Ekström gets a chance to race it will be great because this guy has a brilliant driving style and is quite aggressive

Motors TV - Sky Channel 413 ! Don't know Virgin Media channel though ?!?

Last year they uniterrupted coverage I think

, so there was no adverts which was good Lol !

Just looked on their website they have an whole week of live coverage from Le Mans !!!!!

This is good news for Audi since their team is strengthened with 3 extra DTM drivers and Mattias Ekström as a reserve driver for Tom Kristensen. Hopefully the race would be good to watch although im not much of a Le Mans person. Also the race isin't broadcasted here so i would need cable tv to watch it which i don't have.

ill be in germany for the 24h race and then were off to le mans straight after that, its going to be a good 11 days

Sounds fun! But be sure to bring diapers. They only have two toilets for 300,000 spectators. And bring some proper food and water too. The food at Le Mans downright sucks, and they charge 3 Euros for one liter of water... or so I've heard.
There should be strippers in the funfair by the way, be sure to take some pictures for us!

The reason whit the American and Joest Audi's is that Joest could only get one Automatic entry to Le Mans and North American got 2 (Because of Le Mans and ALMS)....so insted of have to wait to get permission they just called 2 of them "American"!...but the Team behind it, is still Joest!....but i don't know what flag they will race under!

No, I don't do Danish forums. They scare the hell out of me!

This third R10 with the DTM drivers got prawned at the test day yesterday. It was beaten by both the North American Audis, both Peugeots and a Pescarolo. I don't know if this is caused by technical problems or something like that though, but I doubt it because it's...well, an Audi.

The other day I had an offer to go see Le Mans (or some other racing series) with my Grandfather in France. I could stay there, but I doubt I'd go and see Le Mans because it's in June, which is when I have school....when exactly is Le Mans? What dates? If not, I could go down to France for the usual week and see some other disciplines, which would be amazing....trouble is, there will be four kids there, my cousins, and the oldest one is six years older than me.....I hate not having to socialise, and I can't with those little kids around! I'm still contemplating whether to go or not.
