Default Sexhausts...

Which car has the best sound? What gets your blood pumping, the roar of a big bore V8, or the scream of an exotic flat plane V12? Maybe you prefer a high strung four...

Ferrari 355 wins for me. Formula 1 exhaust sound.

It was way tough to choose one.

Straight tie between the DB9 and the Lamborghini Countach.

The subaru clip sucks, M5 would have been my choice, or maybe the S2000 (going through S2k phase lol), But I've always loved the 355 I guess. I'll take that...

Your 67 firebird looks sick. The Vette sounds good, when he's floorin it. The Carrera GT was also nice.

except maybe a gembella cgt

strange comparo, not really fair in my opinion but hey, it's fun. i picked the modified c6 because it just had the rip your head off monster sound i like, but it's hard to judge over the computer.

in real life i think it's be a lot different. i can't see how any of the cars with less than a v8 are even in the same league.

The Vette! But a standard Z06 sounds a lot more tame. This particular one in the vid is tricked out with all kind of products I've nver heard of

Because you couldnt be more biased towards the Aston Martins! Seriosuly, the AM doesnt even come close to the Corvette, Firebird, Countach, Carrera GT and Ferraris. Its not even about tastes, its just stupid.

1. The all made me smile but the sound of the Carrera GT just made me smile the most. It just sounds too much like an F1! F1 award!

2. Lamborghini. It just screams. When I put it in my playlist I accidentally put it in the music playlist instead of the sport one (subconscious I guess)! Screamer award!

3. Your car just sounds beautiful but Ive got to hear a driveby. It wins the best muscle sound!

4. Ferraris. One because it made me laugh and the other one because it screams amazingly. The Corvette is just amazing, at the start it sounded as if it had a tin can instead of a muffler but when it got moving...just amazing! Tie between these three for the 4th place.

Other coments:

DB9 - doesnt sound good (compared to the others). Thats a V12 with a POC sound.

M5 - good but nothing like the top ones!

Subaru - there is a particular moment, two to be precise, were it makes an amazing sound, as if it reached the fuel cutoff, like brm-brom-broom-broom (put some imagination into this)!

S2000 - absolutely nothing special.

Ford GT - again nothing special.

280zx - good tone but too low.

i wish i would've listened to the clips first.... damn! i voted for the porsche but i'd say after i listened it would tie with the vette, althought the 355 comes real close

EDIT: The STi makes a sick sound, thats my favorite for a four cylinder by far.

I disagree. The Aston sounded awesome. Like a dragon.

Oh my GOD listen to that DB9! Absolutely incredible. That sound makes me feel weak at the knees...

The F355 and 'Vette sound wicked, too, but the vicious, aggressive, raspy edge that the DB9's got definately tops them.

It's an SL 500 or 600. It's not a standard exhaust though - they come with two oval pipes as standard.
