Porsche 911 GT1
![]() Price: $912,000 Miles Per Gallon: --/-- mpg Curb Weight: 2756 lbs Layout: Mid-Engine/RWD Transmission: 6-Speed Sequential Engine Type: Twin-Turbo Flat-6 Displacement: 3164 cc Horsepower: 544 bhp @ 7000 rpm Torque: 443 lb-ft @ 4750 rpm Redline: ---- rpm Performance 0-60 mph: 3.6 sec 0-100 mph: 8.2 sec Quarter Mile: 11.6 sec @ 123 mph Skidpad: .99g Top Speed: 206 mph Braking, 60-0 mph: 110 ft Slalom Speed: --.- mph Produced in 1997, the Porsche 911 GT1 was no ordinary 911; with it's engine in supposedly the correct location (maybe not by Ferdinand Porsche perhaps) in Porsche's best attempt to capture victory in Le Mans in 1998, which it did successfully in 1998. Ferrari F50 ![]() Price: $480,000 Miles Per Gallon: 15/23 mpg Curb Weight: 2712 lbs Layout: Mid-Engine/RWD Transmission: 6-Speed Manual Engine Type: V12 Displacement: 4700 cc Horsepower: 513 bhp @ 8500 rpm Torque: 347 lb-ft @ 6500 rpm Redline: 8500 rpm Performance 0-60 mph: 3.7 sec 0-100 mph: 8.0 sec Quarter Mile: 12.1 sec @ 122 mph Skidpad: 1.03g Top Speed: 207 mph Braking, 60-0 mph: 119 ft Slalom Speed: 71.7 mph Road car probably wouldn't be the best designation for the Ferrari F50, as at heart, it is much more F1 racer, with it's powerplant for the most part, straight from an F1 car, rear suspension mounted to the gearbox, and pretty much no components devoted to increasing the comfort of the car. EDIT: Sorry forgot to add a poll! ![]()

Porsche because it's got a higher retail value..Then I can sell it and get damn near anything I want...
Ferrari would more than likely beat it around a track and all the "race kinda things" street models in question that is... GT1 race car..that things a monster...But anywho yeah.. Porsche...sell it....Buy a F40 a ultima GT-R a XJ220 and a Aston Martin V8 VAntage......And i'd have a sexier car, a faster car, a classier car, and a European Viper...... ![]()

not to jump the bandwagon, but i too would prefer the porsche . . . it looks better than the Ferrari, and with cars that are pretty much equally matched, id go for looks.
honeslty when are you gonna push a car to its top speed? or need to accelerate .10ish seconds faster?

I really love the F50, but the GT1 is so cool and so rare that I can't turn it down. I'm going for the Porsche.

If there was the money to afford either one, I'd probably let you guys get those, while I'll get my self a nice Renault Espace F1 (minivan). I mean 0-60 in 2.8 secs, top speed 196mph, with enough space to sleep inside.

Id go with the Ferrari purely for its looks, the gt1 doesnt look good at all. Almost looks like it was a mistake, but performance wise the gt1 is king of the road.

Even if I was very rich I wouldn't pay for any of these two cars... If it was given to me I would take the Porsche, sell it to a collector and buy myself a nice 911 GT3 for around $100K...
