Escort Cosworth, It may be the slowest of the 3 but when it first came out, it was an instant hit, a huge icon in rally and car world, I'd have it purely because with the Escort people will say that you've got a good taste in cars but with the mk.I and mk.II Focus you wouldn't get the same "respect".

^That one right there... because it's the best built of the Ford Escort/Focus, and the new front suspension set up is supposed to be the ground breaking.

As said, do not vote for the best car here, vote for the best car in context. A car from 1994 isn't going to be as fast as a car currently in production, is it?!

But in its' hay-day the RS Cossie was the ultimate hatch, literally nothing could touch it. I'd love to own one even today.

If I was to own any of the 3 today it would be the Escort too. Then the MK1 Focus, which is much more raw than the new one. Something gimmicky about the 09 Focus RS that doesn't click with me.

I'm sure they are all great cars, but I chose the MKI -- It looks really similar to the SVT Focus, which was the coolest Focus we ever received over here in the States.

Probably the new one . Looks fanatastic in blue . The RS before it looked soft although having a good pewerfull engine.

The second edition.. The first is the coolest throwback, the newest is just dumb.. The middle gen, Is the only one I'd drive regularly.

Escort for me, When I was younger, i loved that car, had a bunch of models of it.

i love the focus and all, especially the Mk1, that front bumper is sexy, but just not up there with that big funky rally wing.

I'd rather have the platform of the Escort in the body of the 1st gen Focus.

It has AWD and is still 400lbs lighter.. and as jmazingo pointed out, it can be made into a very fast car.
