im not sure you can compare these cars easily. People who want Hondas are very different to those who want BM's.

I think the Honda NSX is alot cooler than anything from BMW, especially the newly desinged one. I think I'd have a Honda or Acura NSX over all. But I'll agree with Mallon, this is a very weird comparison. Though Acura is making some sedans that might be comparable to certain bimmers.

Depends... If i could have the M3 GTR, i'd take that one over any Honda. But if i couldn't, i'd take a Honda NSX-R over any other BMW.

When the M6 comes out, this will be my choice. Until then, I must admit that the NSX-R tempts me... I'd have a hard time choosing between the NSX-R and the M3.

This is a strange comparo, ummm...I haven't seen the new NSX yet, so I can't pass judgement there, though if it's ANYTHING like the current one, d-a-m-n...hehehe...in the meantime, since i saw a 2002 M5 saturday, and he pulled away real fast, I'll settle for BMW, hell, gimme an onlder 850Csi, and it's MCLAREN F1-BASED engine, and yeah, BMW...

I'll definitly agree this is a strange comparo. Still, I'm with the Hoinda/Acura choice. Mostly because of overall value. BMW makes some really awesome cars, but for what you're paying for, I think that Acura is much more of a deal. Also, I like the Japanese styling better as well. I can afford Honda/Acuras, thats a factor, also this;
comparably priced,

2004 Acura TL = $33,195
3.2-liter V-6
270 hp 238 lb-ft of torque
Front wheel drive(only real drawback)
six speed manual
better fuel economy
more standard options
one pound lighter! but still larger in every dimension
more passanger room + more cargo volume

2004 BMW 330xi = $41,745
3.0-liter I-6
225 hp 214 lb-ft of torque
Rear wheel drive
six speed manual

so you get ALOT more for your money with The Acura, thats another big factor in my decision.

Raith, you really just summed up everything I was going to say in that post . Anyways I totally agree that Honda/Acura is the better value and turns out just as GOOD cars as BMW does. Why would I pay 30K + for a 3 series when i can get a TSX for under 30K.

I was just wondering if you were serious, or if this was a typo? The xi means its the all wheel drive. The reason the BMW costs more than the Acura is the same reason a Honda costs more then a Hyundai. It’s not at the same level. You’re paying for the BMW badge. If people would pay that for that level Acura then they would charge it.
