What about a Mk.III Supra? How about an FC RX-7? In my opinion, these are all really cliche choices. But if I had to choose, go for the Prelude. Nice and safe and pretty fast.

Well if you're going to buy, look for the value. I'd be more concerned with the test drive then with figures and what not. They're all good cars, it comes down to which one feels the best for you, simply put.

Airbags, Backseats. Read the topic, noob.
Also, I'd rather have a newer car than an older one. Because, well, I don't care if it's a Toyota or a Alfa, a 19yo car is going to have problems.

Are you only looking at those specific Japanese cars? A buddy of mine bought an early nighties 3 series BMW for cheap and he loves it. It drives great and has everything your looking for. Just thought i'd throw that out.

No Z is faster than another. All years were about the same.

Just remember one thing Kris....sports cars are only reliable if they are well taken care of. My NA has 122K miles on it and runs good.

The only problem is, expensive repairs.

True true, especialy if you go to a dealership. I think he had a fuel injector problem with it and it was a little pricey, but not overly huge. He did a bunch of work when he first got it but it was worth it.

I know this sounds lame but with gas prices the way they are, would you consider fuel economy or whether it takes regular or premium?

Fuel Economy doesn't matter thaaat much to me, so long as it's not absoluetly horrible.

Yeah, and unfortunately, it's not possible to go too in depth into checking that out at purchase. The RX-7 is a prime example. It's imperative that it's taken well care of. I saw one on Ebay (No, I'd never buy from ebay), that's turbo'es went at 44k miles. And was several thousand to replace them.

The only ones with horrific rates are the 3000GT and RX7. The 300ZX isn't too bad either...thank god I'm not looking at the turbo.

Ahahaha...nice Igaboj...

How about a 240SX?

Tons of potential, cheap, easy to run, reliable as hell, and some company in Texas, don't ask-I don't remember the name, is renowned for their power upgrades.

Miata? Lots of potential, and well, you can get away with less sexual comments than I could in it. Though, I carry weapons with me all the time, still, it's a roadster, RWD, light, can be powerful with enough money. It's not going to kill your insurance in any way too.
