Assuming I'm picking one to drive, I'd take the Saleen. I've loved Saleen Mustangs ever since I drove a friend's Fox-Body Saleen.
Otherwise, I'd take the Cobra R and sell it to buy a Saleen and pocket some coin.

I would get the S281. I like the Cobra R, but the Saleen looks better, especially in that silver.

Which one I'll drool all over? The Cobra R. I know little to nothing about the car
but after reading some user's posts here about it and some vids of it on youtube, I'm convinced the Cobra R is one bad-ass car from hell. It's just on a level on it's own. Which one I'll pick? The Saleen one. It looks cleaner IMO, although not as bad-ass as the Cobra R. And I 'assume' it would be "easier" to own and drive daily .

THe Cobra R is a legend, most especially that specific Cobra R. It's perfectly capable of spanking some Z06s or Vipers on a mountain pass.
Both of them are great, but I can't deny in-house tuned cars ![]()

i'd pick the Cobra R, it looks much better than the saleen and i always prefer a car straight from the factory than the same car modified by a tuning house. i still love that saleen, but i'd pick the cobra R. if i ever had the chance to have one, i'd be a proud owner of a limited edition stang, think of that! and i don't care if its not comfortable, i'd walk to work if i had to. lol

There is no contest here. The Cobra R dominates the S281! It's made for the track. The S281 is just a mustang with a supercharger bolted on and a body kit.

is it because of the Cobra's racing seats ? or minimal interior "stuff" ?
