Ah yes but there was more road 550 in the race 550 than there was C5 in the C5-R

Actually, I think that downwiz2 has just been "0wn3d", as Mopar says. I thought about locking the topic but after seeing the excellent responses from all you guys, I changed my mind. Keep up the good work! I have pretty much nothing more to add...

True, but the whole, and I knew it was weak, but the point was that while Honda's NSX has been amazing in JGTC, and that's a quality series. This is LeMans, a taaaad different level.

Hmmm. Not really. Apprently JGTC are just as fast, if not faster than the GTS class cars at lemans. They're very quick.

It was mentioned before by Ghalos would take a new Z06 over an NSX. Or at least that was implied. I would have to disagree. After reading autovations post, I definetly understand what the NSX is all about. Build quality and enjoyment of the driver. The mystery of the NSX is solved. You could make a 7,000hp corvette with a 672 cubic inch motor, does 2.5g's on the skidpad (is that possible?), has seating for 10 and costs as much as a pair of CKG's sandals, and I would still take the "outdated" NSX over it.

Good point, the joy of driving...Which is why I chose the NSX above all in one of my top of the page posts. But the Z06, the C6 one, is just so badass and hardcore I can't help butwant it. But I do love the NSX's dated interior for some reason.

Ya, the NSX exterior is so timeless. You could stare at it forever and not get bored with it. And the NSX doesn't suck, at all. Its a great car, with performance comparable with cars that cost three times as much, and with one of the best engines ever made.

The Noble is a car that for 65 grand you can drive legally in America that'll run with a Zonda S on a race track, a car that costs almost 8 times more and is NOT legal here.

Either way, the NSX is overpriced and outclassed now to be worth the asking price, but the Noble, that's just a steal for the performance you get.
hey i never said noble was a shitty car....i absolutely love it, but the fact that "engine, drivetrain" are to be installed at own discretion. and just paying for the skin of the car is a little too much. Sure in UK, its a "real car" but those who do not have a freakin car garage with 12 grand tools, installing engine, wait purchasing one is a pain in the ass.

noble m12 is not 0 -60 in 3.2 sec. its 4.3. i even emailed them.

about NSX, it is way too ****ing overpriced considering its stock performance specs. I don't wanna be spending another 10 grand jsut to upgrade it to embarass a porsche or lambo. and porsche and lambo dont need 10 grand upgrade to be the best.

They don't sell real Noble's in the U.S. Also, the Noble is probably the best bang-for-buck performance car in the world. You make no sense whatsoever at all. Now go get in your pinto and run along.

The noble is sold as a "kit" car. The reason behind this is the lack of safety equipment, emissions equipment and crash testing. If you can drop an engine and trans you can build a noble. You obviously do not know that it's not all that hard to pull an engine.

The noble M12 GTO was just tested in C&D and it racked out a 3.2 second 0-60

The NSX is the CHEAPEST handbuilt car you can buy. It's much like the new lotus as far as numbers go. The numbers are not stellar but the feel of driving one is. Tis obvious you have never driven a nice sports car. Numbers are not everything.

If you look for mental age, maybe she isn't. At least in this topic I'm with her.

Too bad a competitive Porsche or Lambo will require more a few times more than 10k to compete with a used NSX (again.. same thing as a new one)..

I'm not sure what tracks you frequent, but at the local tracks that I go to, I've seen just the opposite. (I'm talking about road courses, not drag strips, by the way.) I've seen several nsx's get anhiliated by corvettes. They really aren't that fast when compared with even the C5 Corvette. I know a guy who has driven both cars (a lot), and he thinks that the C5 Corvette is a much better track car.
