Default New Member needing help

Hi guys
Im new to this forum and was wondering if you guys could assist me please. It would be greatly appreciated

I recently graduated from my High School and my family decided to buy me a car of my choice in a price range. I been playing GT4 and a car i came across today was a Subaru Imprezza Rally Car 99 my opinion fantastic car. Obviously i don't want the Rally Car but i want the regular STI version form 1999.
My question is... why cant i find a 1999 STI any wear in the NJ/PA area?

Because they were never sold in the US. STi's didn't come to the states until 2004. Only way to get a '99 one is to have it imported.

o0o0o that solves this mystery. There is no Imprezza in 1999 that like has any STI parts. What i mean by that is there no Imprezza with the STi like body kit or wing or anything??

i thought about that after not being able to find the STI but it doesn't have the appearance of the STI which was why i wanted it.
The looks of the Imprezza compared to the STI aren't nearly the same

If you're just mainly concerned about the looks, a regular WRX, or even the Impreza can be easily converted to look like the STi. The main exterior differences are the front bumper, the rear wing, hood scoop, and wheels. Get those components off an STi, and there ya go. I see STi look alikes running around all teh time....

SPT, the in-house "tuner" of Subaru of America, sells STI parts, but no body kits or spoilers. YOu can get the JDM parts to imitate the STI, but JDM parts are expensive.....

The closest you can get to a '99 STI is the not-so-powerful Subaru Impreza 2.5RS. It has a spoiler trying to imitate a rally car, but smaller. 165HP isn't much, but at least it's a Subaru with AWD and a manual transmission.

If you wanna upgrade your Subaru (if you live in North America), you should check out SPT:

Or you can go to a Subaru forum. People w/ STi's who are putting on body-kits, removing their wing, etc, are always selling their original STi parts.
