Thumbs up Honda Civic Type - R

Hi everybody!!!
I'm very interested in cars like this and I hope you will be too.
For me that is the best " hot hatch " on the market and when I will be older, I will buy it because now I'm only 17!!!
Someone thinks that car is a bit IMO, but I don't think so!!
About looking I think it's beautiful and sporty ( specially white and black ) and the performance are very very good:
0 - 100 Km/h ( 62 mph ) in 6.6 seconds and a top speed of 235 Km/h ( 145 mph )!!
Please send me some opinions!!!
If you know we to find videos and pictures of that car, please let me know!!

The civic type-R is pretty decent.. but i'm sure there are other nice hatchbacks you should consider as well. Sorry.. but I can't name all the ones in italy, but if you were in the US, the SVT focus is definetely one to consider.

Thumbs up Re: Honda Civic Type - R

Civic Type-R, those two little words always get me excited. I've always admired how Honda(and the Acura division here in the U.S.) has translated intense racing engieering to thier cars. The driving experience that can be had in the Civics, integra/RSX, S2000, and NSX's is a feeling of complete control with a sweet humming engine that delivers pwoer all over the tach range. Honda transmission shifters are almost unmatched and the handling and response is top notch. The Civic is the most available out of all of these and with older models, the more powerful Integra engines are a mere weekends worht of work away from being swapped out. Welcome to the forums, you've come to the right palce.

Yeah the type R really is a rapid car for the price, i mean u probably can't go faster for the money and the styling although is only a set of nice alloys and a bodykit- it still looks the stuff. My sister owns one and the she loves it, the only problem is that the car is quite thirsty and its quite expensive to run- the front tires wear quickly.
The ride takes some getting used to if your previous car was smooth but i reckon the car is serious top stuff and perfect for track days, the interior is quite bland apart from the dashes of red but Type R's have always been about producing thoroughbred racecars.
When i have enough money i may buy this off my sister in the future or consider these following for my first owned car( currently drive my dad's):

Mini Cooper S

Ford Focus RS (second-hand due to only 4500 been made)

Renault clio 182

Or if iam still skint i would consider the : Toyota Yaris Tsport 1.5vvti

I found one with 34k...

Anyway, you have a nice choice there with the type-r, pilone. It is certainly one of the best hatches ever and I assure you that you will not regret it!!

But maybe perhaps you should wait until you're 25 or something, because it is not a car for rookies...

And btw you're a neighbour! Welcome to SCF!

The best hot hatch is the Focus RS, sorry, but it is. It handles better than anything out there for the price and has really impressive performance. I like the Type-R, but I would never get one because I dont really like the V-Tec engines always screaming in my ear.

Well, its ok for fun driving on B-roads and stuff, but having to use the Revs all the time to get somehwere because of the lack of torque would start to get abit tiring after a while. However, the Focus RS has avery hard ride, so I suppose that could also be problem. The R32 Golf is a good car, but its not as good to drive, kinda like a marsh mellow.

I said: "One of the best", not "THE best". Read my post again.
And we agree about the RS.
