Hey guys, I was wonderin, what is the difference between slowly releasing the clutch and vice versa? I'm a noob when i comes to stick, but I really want to drive a car with a manual transmission..

Never driven a manual before? :P
Ok, if your rpms are too low and you release the clutch quickly, then your engine will turn off.
If your rpms are very high and you release the clutch quickly, your wheels will spin for a long time before you get any traction (mostly with FWD cars).
If you do it with the right amount of rpm (depends on the car), you will get a good launch.
But generally you only need to be quick with the clutch when you're racing... otherwise, do it slow and enjoy the ride. 8)

How do you know when to press the clutch at the right time? Is it a matter of time you have with the car or just instinct?

It will become an instinct when you'll be driving a manual for a long time (some months, maybe sooner).
At the start, you'll have to keep track of the rpm and shift at the appropriate time (appropriate times change for racing). But don't worry, it's a lot more easier than you imagine. You'll get the hang of it in no time.
If you'd like my sincere opinion, it would be alot better if all new drivers learned on a manual.
