I got a Verizon LG cell phone a little of a month ago.. Works beautiful, massive speaker, screen on the outside.. $300 phone... Somebody walked into me shattered the screen. My insurance company will replace it with some rebuilt pos phone.

They wanted to replace it with this cheap ass phone that has been refurbished,, im keeping my old one.. I rather have everything but a screen as opposed to getting a beat up, basic phone

Sue THEM! Insurance companies should replace the SAME phone if you have insurance... You pay the deductible ( usually $100 ) and they send you another phone...
When I had Nextel, I had the i730. When the new I860 got out, I wanted it so my friend who had one called his insurance, paid 100USD and got a new phone. I used his old phone and paid him 100 dollars instead of buying a new one for 250+.

Haha insurance fraud LOL, I can tell on you and collect a finders fee...hmmm.
If the phone still works nextel is stupid, they didn't block the IMEI number and report it lost/stolen to the CEIR.

I tried that, but it's pretty hard to manage while driving. Any tips?

Smoke a cig while driving, expulse the smoke on your left side while you open and close the window with fast intervals !!!

Noone blocks the phone. its a phone... its just something. its like a satelite reciever. the card is the one that gets all the information. same with the sim card. They can block the #, which I don't know why they would unless the phone is lost...

No the sim card is what lets you get on the network. The phone itself can get blocked from a provider with the imei, the imei isn't stored on your sim card its on the phone itself. Phone companies can block both the IMEI and sim card though.
