how do you make your avatars so high quality when they are so small

You need a program like Photoshop.

a little cheat is paste a picture onto Microsoft Word, Make it msaller and hit the Print sCREEN bUTTON.. tHEN CROP IT OUT IN PAINT, THEN SAVE

The little icons for the wallpaper links are a good size.

I did that alot until I got photoshop. Still use it though. Photoshop is a pain in the arse.
