Though I am a non practicing catholic, and most of us who were brought up somewhat religious believe that there is a god, or plural. As far as history points, God in general monotheism/polytheism, everyone really believes in the same stuff. Religion seems to be more of an early way to keep people in line. As to that statement to not offend other people you may want to say; Allah is the name given to what people in the my religion believe to be the one true god. Allah seems to be much like what the early Hebrews described Gods name as. You see when dealing with people, you never bring up religion.. And if you are from a different country, you dont say it. People tend to take offense when anyone brings up religion. Why do you think most people feel that Jehovia's Witnesses {spellcheck} are a pain. Not to offend anyone but, they don't shutup. You have to be somewhat of a politician when it comes to dealing with other people. Kinda play all sides of the fence, you know what I mean?
