Wow, I've been reading up on the 2005 S2000 and I am a little scared about how badly it will whip up on it's competition, seems a little unfair  . In all seriousness though, I already veiw it as a better car than all it's competition: BMW Z4, Audi TT, Porsche Boxter, and the 350Z. Lo and behold, Now it's even that much better and will most likely have better speed, handling, and interior desing. I think that the next upgrade will be able to pitch it seriously against the Loutus Elise! Ah well, I found the concept it's based off of that was made in 95'. Wow, bravo for Honda, keep on doing you thing!

Looks good, I just hope they inprove the low-end power, my friends 2004 S2000 has NO low-end power. You have to beat the crap out of it lol.

Just got a Honda S2000 and a BMW Z4 roadster from ebay.
They are 1:18 scale replica though. ^_^ But it will serve me well until I get my real one in the future. You should check it out. It's pretty cool.

Just my 2 cents.

FYI, here's the place I bought.

yeah, that would be the concept car for the S2000. I don't think that exact design will go into production.

Yeah, it probably won't, but the current one is good enough for me. I though, like Jim did, that the new car would be the S2200. This is because the car's name is the letter "S" plus the rounded displacement. it had originally 1997 cc of displacement I think, so that was rounded to 2000. The original "S" was the S600 that had 606 cc of displacement  funniest little car ever! But it had like a chain drive and some other weird features. I put up that picture just to show how far ahead Honda is in thinking. looks strikingly close to the production model, yes? I'm glad they stay very close to their concept deigns. Wow, I didn't edit any of this post :-p

Seems like Honda can stil make nice looking cars by viewing the new S2000 and the new NSX. But Im not sure I like the headlight design though. Anyhow this car should be really tunable. Nissan has a nice motor in their car but I still like the RB's better. These VG's have two of everthing= 2x the cost = 2x the hasslem = 2x the chance something will break. This new S2000's 2.2 can hopefully be a bigger version of the 18B in success if they are smart about it.

this is the honda SSM concept (honda sports study model) it has a 2 liter 5 cyl. in-line; used as a concept car for the S2000; claimed to have perfect 50:50 weight balance

From this picture it looks like the whole car is molded. No hood, no trunk, and i dont like where the headlights are.
