i have a concern about people getting banned..... like Dimitris?

in my opinion that guy was a bad ass and gave good posts all the time.
i noticed we wasn't posting much anymore so i went and to check some old treads and then found that he was banned.

all i'm saying that i dont think mods should be able to ban anyone with just no concern. i mean we are losing people left and right.. i think you guys should vote. all of the mods. and i don't think mods should really be posters. the only ones that actually aren't power hungry are 12inch, attaus, ghalos, and jim. no offense to the other guys, but you dont do shitize except try to imdimidate people.

I was unaware that Dimitris was banned, and the mods do not have the power to ban people, only the Admin do, we can only prompt such decisions, and unless there is a very good reason, all decisions are discussed in the Mod area.

also, since you are accusing me of intimidating people, would you like to show me a post I have made threatening a member? please, because I would love to see this, and dont include posts against 'tits r us', he was just plain trouble

I think that the moderators are doing a great job , the problem is al the newbies that is flaming other members and you my friend are plying with fire right now .

And Concerning Dimitris I am very sad that he is gone :(

why the hell am I power hungry? Out of all the mods, I perform the least amount of actions, like locking and stuff. None of us are power hungry.

999- Don't be worried about being banned. Follow the forum rules and no one has no grounds to ban you. This means: Don't spam, lie, excessively use inappropriate language, start arguements, express hostility towards others, etc. Use common sense. It is not hard to not be banned...Just don't do something stupid.

Mods being power hungry? Personally, I don't agree with it. But, in my opinion, is there really a need to publically argue about all the mods? If you feel a mod is doing something wrong, private message that mod and/or rollin (the administrator)

Moderators cannot ban. Only those with administrative privaliges are able to ban, this means that the only person who could've banned someone is 'rollin'.

Dimitris and/or other members being banned is none of our business. If they were banned, I'm sure it was for a damn good reason. Why is it that everyone feels the need to argue about it. If some 'tit r us' guy got banned, It is between him/her and the admin/mod team. If you really need to know why someone was banned, you could try private messaging 'rollin', but I won't guarantee that he will tell you why that person was banned, because, as I said before, it is between rollin and that person.

This is getting out of hand. If you think a mod is doing a bad job, private message them.

As for intimidating people, I know SCF pretty well, and the members of it pretty well. I know that none of the moderators are trying to intimidate anyone. I'm not sure if you are just trying to complain, or just trying to glorify your friend, Attaus, either way, would you please point out instances (via private message) in which moderators were intimidating people, or being powerhungry?

And, I'm sorry to say, but 999, you thinking the mods are not doing a very good job doesn't really matter to most people, you are just new to the forum. You don't know the forum like others of us do, nor do you know the people who populate it.

I think that unless you have encountered a personal instance of mods doing something wrong, you cannot make these bold claims and stereotypical remarks.

I think that there is really no need to continue discussing about this...it's not getting us anywere, except making fights and arguements.

On that note, will someone please tell me why when I try to private message a member (Z06 was the one I was trying to message) am I not allowed to private message them, there's not 'private message' button. I went and tried doing it with other members and it works fine. Why does it not work in this one instance?

thats because Z06 has not activated PM'ing, its the same with MondeoCosworth, with the new system you need to do that...

You know, i'm really sick of Everyone ragging on the mods. We all do our jobs, and we all do them very well. None of us are power hungry, none of us are lazy. Jeez, stop complaining.

i respect your response mopar and subarukid, ill try not to complain, but that doesnt mean im not going to voice my opinion. i might have used the wrong words but in NO way am i trying to insult you or nag on you. this is the comment/ suggestion forum so i can do just that. its your choice to read this.

well if i ever intimidated you or anything im sorry, i dont ever remember making a post in the same forum etc as you before, so how i could have hurt you at all i dont know... but really we are nice people, and will always help if you ask, and dont be a pain on the forums (not directed at you, just a statement)
