What do you think about these cars¿?
Maybach 62 and Rolls Royce Phantom

The maybach, but im not a fan of either of these cars!
Both of them are fat and ugly, and over priced.
Although the Maybach despite being 2.5 tonnes, it does 0 - 60 in less than 6 seconds!
But appart from that, i wouldnt buy these cars.
Id buy an audi A8 (S8 when its released) and save myslef hundreds of thousands.
The A8 is cheaper to buy, cheaper to run, so much prettier, and the S8 will perform alot better.
So taking all that I think you;d be made to spend the equivilent of a house on a car!

i think that non of the cars deserve there prise tag ...
they are too expensive and with no obvious reason ....
only a big engine lots of technology in the interior ... and fancy ....
but the prize of those cars is outragious ...
of u would have gave me one i would have choosen the maybach...
but if i wanna buy a Luxary Car i would prefer a new Bmw 7 Series !

thanks for the information but its still toooooooooooooooo expensive and dont really worth it ... i could buy about 8 BMW 7series insted of one of them !
mallon
Jun 05, 2003, 3:02 PM
I have no idea what BMW are doing with there saloons... I mean theh 7 series was terrible looking, but the new 5 series is absolutely appauling!
I wouldnt buy a 7 series - the A8, a classier option! 8)

i like the Bmw's Looks ... i prefer the old one for now ...
but the new one is much prettier from the from and it have an ugly back ...
but this year the model will be modified and there will be changes in the back of the car so i guess it will be much better ...
the Audi A8 though have the advatage of the aluminum body but instead i would rather take the phaiton !

Is there even a contest here? The Maybach of course! The Rolls Royce is soooo big and sooooo ugly. At least the Maybach is a little more shapely. The rear seats look really comfterable and has some really cool features. So, it's a little expensive and a little overboard, but hey, if you can afford a 20 million dollar jet, 350 million dolar yacht, 200 million dollar house and 12 million dollar "summer cottage", then it's just a small price to pay for a $500,000 maybach. Get the picture?

the Audi A8 though have the advatage of the aluminum body but instead i would rather take the phaiton !
no you wouldnt!
The phaeton has so little prestige in comparison.
VW is just Audi poorer cousin - take the Audi, and you can still have the W12 engine.

i dont really know much information about the phaeton...
i saw it i liked the style in thsi car....
i loved the 10V engine .(the one i rided)
but overall im still a 7 series fan.....
but for comparation i dont know if the A8 is much more Better then the Paeton

you drove the V10 Phaeton? - the one that isnt released until december? :D
but for comparation i dont know if the A8 is much more Better then the Paeton
- you can always assume audi's effort at a limo will be better than VW's!
White-Night
Jun 07, 2003, 8:26 AM
ha!?
the paeton is realeased !
and i saw it with the emporter.....hes from my city and he have one...
i might be wrong about the engine but not the car...
mallon

Jun 07, 2003, 8:56 AM

remmber 240% taxes!

well, it makes more sense to give the price of the car, not the price of the car + taxes for importation to israel! :D

You take 240% of your prices and turn it into £'s or $'s :D

The Maybach, although I'd never buy a car like that, even if I had the money. 8)
RiceBoy
Jul 07, 2003, 4:02 AM
I would rather just get an S600 and save 200 grand :D
I mean, it has the same engine as the Maybach and everything. It's just that the Maybach's engine's turbos are running on a greater pressure (I think 15 pounds), while the 600's is running on something like 11 pounds.
And who needs lazyboys in a car :?: :?: :?: If they are in the driver's seat, then how are you supposed to drive (you'll instantly fall asleep :D )
mallon
Jul 07, 2003, 7:03 AM
the maybach has a 5.5 litre engine rice!
If you have that amount of money, you wouldnt settle for an S class - S classes are everywhere. If I had the money you would pay for the exclusivetly of the Maybach.
RiceBoy
Jul 07, 2003, 3:30 PM
Funny thing is.....
The 600 really has the 5.5 but they call it a 600 (don't know why) :? :? :?
And actually, I never thought about the exclusivity of the Maybach, nor the abundancy of 600s.
So this leads to one option: Get an S600 with CEC mods (Lorinser kit, CL front clip, and Brabus exhaust :D :D :D ).
NO ONE HAS **** LIKE THIS
mallon
Jul 07, 2003, 8:23 PM
sorry you;re right!
but the maybach has an extra 50BHP.
So this leads to one option: Get an S600 with CEC mods (Lorinser kit, CL front clip, and Brabus exhaust ).
NO ONE HAS [ censored ] LIKE THIS
I guess so, but to the untrained eye (women) its still an S class.

You're right. I wonder why women don't like cars that much (except the cars that hot boyz are driving :D )
Maybe it's not in their chemical makeup. Who knows :?: :?: :?:

Hey, im new to this forum but damn, all u guys ar kinda idiotic. The Maybach is an awesome car. Have any of even seen the interior in the back. Tv, DVD, phone, the works. Its ment for millionare/billionare business men to get chauffered around in. Sure its $600 000 us (i think) but its target is for the rich classy ppl. It may just look like a oversized s-class but its an awesom car. And i agree that the rolls royce is as ugly as hell

Jul 09, 2003, 1:58 PM
you have Tv, DVD, phone, faxes and bars in many cars....
if you dont you can install them yourself ...
i dont really know if the Maybach is really worthy to buy ....but the engine on that car is huge

i dont really know if the Maybach is really worthy to buy
i told u its a worthy buy if ur a millionare or billionare with some class. its a chauffer driven limo, its not ment to be affordable. do u think the the mclaren f1 is worthy and affordable. i think not. who would spend $1.6 million (us) on a car that 240 mph and to be able to have a racing license to own 1.its not like u'll be able to drive over 60 mph on the road anyways. but billionares still buy. u see my point.

Jul 09, 2003, 2:21 PM
i prefer to buy a Bently over the Maybach if i could afford any car i want ....
its more classic ... i dont know why but if you want a Great millioners car ... buy a Bently ... not a Rols nor Maybach :)
Tunerz
Jul 09, 2003, 2:28 PM
i agree. i would rather buy a bentley than a maybach or rolls. it shows more class but at the same time u can actually drive it. it would get kiinda boring chauffered around everwhere. 8)

Yes but still this car is not meant to satisfy your need for driving... it's just a means to promote your image and to show that you have money. I'd never buy a car like that.

i might be missing the point but i dont see any need to buy such a car for anybody except to people who wanna say to public "I HAVE MONEY" ....
the DVD and all the rest actually can be installed in any car... so i just might be missing your point ....
please explain to me what you mean there!

you arent missing my point - you are missing the point of a car like the Maybach.

You could get a saxo, take out the passenger setaat, and put in a DVD player and a lazi-boy. You'd have justa comfortable car with DVD e.t.c. - but when you buy a Maybach you getthe best and most powerful saloon cars in the world.

When you buy a car like a Maybach, you are buying a car that has all the comforts, but that isn't all. The Maybach is a "business car". It shows a person economic power, but also represents quality....and the Maybach is full of it.
Fix me if I'm wrong but......Maybach is in the Daimler-Chrysler group, right???? :?: :?:

haha. you guys are talking like the Maybach is a car that you would buy to drive it yourself! Almost none of the customers do that. Its not a driving vehicle, its a be driven around vehicle like the newby said tunerz......Now when you are as rich as the stars, than its very important to show up in such a car to keep your image.....Its like in Business class of an Airplane....so i think all of you are wrong to say, i wouldnt buy this i would buy a S8 or equal which is ment for driving pleasure. By the way, the Maybach does 0-60 in 5.0 secs according to this:
