Based on 156GTA SuperTouring, 3.5-litre V6 300bhp & 4x4. Only 500 will be built.
This car will be product on December and it will be a fine comparison for C32 AMG or M3?You think so?The 4x4 makes some difference.I mean,it is 43 bhp less than M3 but...what's your opinion???
The same engine will wear the Alfa Romeo 166 GTA which will product one month later!

And beating the M3 is not about 5.4 or 5.3 sec 0-100, i dont love german cars, but M3 precision is hard to beat, cars that double or triple its price cant do that

Hmm i Think over a few years there is absolutly no diffrence between quality anymore if you drive Italian or german ..
If those Italians over 5 years or something STILL not comparable with the germans they can forget it 4 ever!

But i don't think that will happen , About a few years SOOO many company's and people are working TOGHETHER.. that i think the Quality of the Italians is Going FORWARD FAST!!

Let me tell u what i believe...Having a quite big xperience both with bimmers and alfa'(btw these r my two fav brands), i have to say this...The moment Fiath bought Alfa and "forced" her to use fwd platforms, a great portion of the "Alfa's magic" was lost...Honestly who can compare the driving pleasure that the old alfas were giving to the driver with the new ones?? My father has an Alfetta '83, and i have a GTV TB '00. Believe me when i say, that i enjoy more when im in the Alfetta..Of course the GTV remains a true alfa but...its not RWD...Only when they decide to switch to rwd or at least 4wd, they will be able to loook face 2 face the Bimmers....

Yeah, I agree with that part too, but there are also other things that Italians must take care of...

Yeah there r some first signs of progression..And this is mainly because of the Ferrari involvement.

FIAT will place 4WD to their models too.In the future of course.The new Doblo,Panda,new SUV.
I think that Gruppo FIAT have to say something on their competition.
The true is that the competition between the companies right now is too high and Italia strikes back after this "sleep" and I am too happy about that! :wink:

You can look at it that way, but all European cars have the European style. But ( almost ) each marque have their own style. I still think you can not compare Alfa with ( the all mighty ) Porsche. Their styles aren't nearly the same. If you think you can compare these two only because the're European, you could also say: Alfa and Aston Martin, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, MG, Spyker, etc. all share the same style. Of wich i think this is not correct. But maybe i'm just looking at in another way....

Look man(alfa romeo gta), i undertand what ur saying..But the thing is that from 156 and on Alfa began to produce high quality cars...But they aren't BETTER SO FAR than Bimmers or Merc or Audis...Look my father has a Bimmer 330Ci '00...And when i try to compare it with my GTV , it lacks quality...But i believe that there is all the magic of the Italian cars..That they have all these "Italian things." It gives them a aspecial identity. To tell u the truth i wouldnt want Alfa's to become sooooo good in quality as with the Bimmers...It would alter the whole meaning of Alfa...Which is driving pleasure :D

I think that people learned that Alfa and the others have a quite good quality.See old Alfa's(like 33)and old FIAT's(like Tipo).
I don't hear any people talking about the Tipo's quality.I think that its a quite good car.Not quick but good...
