Ok, the first 5 pictures were sent to me by email from my dad about a month ago, its about solving (or not solving) a small (or not-so-small) problem some people had in Gallway (I thought it was Galloway??!) in Ireland. Anyway, here is what I was sent:

in the very last picture why isnt there a splash? could it have been photoshopped or something?

they did a terrible photoshopping job. look at the white car being pulled up. in the first 2 pics that its in, its the exact same. then as the crane is falling, the back door closes? how can it close when its falling? plus when the crane falls in there are some people that dont even notice. how can you not even hear it!? then in the last pic of his second post, the rescue of the rescue, look how the bigger crane falls. its like 20 yards from the edge of the water, then all of a suppen its over the edge, same angle, and its falling upright!! it just doesnt make sence. plus it doesnt look real. its so fake its not funny.

ha i just noticed the white cars tires dont move at all when its getting pulled up in the first rescue. the water would make it move. plus wouldnt the car be wet? also there arent any splashes when the cranes fall in. in this physical universe we live in, this cant happen. not this way. it is just way too fake. plus people arent that stupid to park the second crane the same way. also, how could that little hatchback make that whole crane flip then fall over? its soo fake.

one more thing. look at where they are. behind some building. how could he loose control there and fall in there? he couldnt have been going much past 10 mph. theres that huge uphill before you get up there and no runway. i know that little hatchback doesnt have to torque to go fast up that hiss and fast enough to not see and drive into the lake. everything about this is fake. and shouldnt there be some guard rails or a wall or something?

ahahahahahahaha god im noticing soo many things one by one. look at the second crane. see those HUGE support beams? now i know that that little crane cant pull that gianormous grane into the lake. the smaller crane has to weigh more than the big crane to pull it in, just like the hatchback with the smaller crane. its not possible.

ahahahahaha more things!! the second crane pulls up the smaller one right? well the smaller crane goes into the water more as time goes on. then all of a sudden the huge crane calls in without tipping or warning or anything, support beams do nothing. and the little crane pulls the big one in.......... WHILE ITS STILL HALF WAY IN THE WATER!!!!!!! things are a lot lighter under water, so that means the first crane that pulls the second one is is about half as light as it normally is. because it is parcially under water, it would weigh a lot less. also when the rescue the white hatchback, its on the back of the big crane, the second one. where does it dissapear to when the second crane falls in? and if that little hatchback can make the first crane topple over, howcome its weight plus the bigger cranes weight combined still fall over when pulling up the first crane. not to mention that that is about 2500lbs for the hatchback plus 12,000lbs for the big crane, 14,500lbs or 7 and a half tons pulled over by about 7000lbs. accually its about 4600lbs because it is halfway under water. so according to these pictures apperently 14,500lbs. weighs less than 4,600lbs. man that makes perfect sence.

i think the first one is real... because you can see all the people in the background cringing and the splash... and the white car wouldnt have to weigh more then the crane to pull it in... im not sure if it has to do with torque... but the leverage from the long arm and it being full of water might be enough to tip the crane over in the first one then it could have tipped over the side... Im just wondering about the second one

"its like 20 yards from the edge of the water" if you look at it the arm on the left come to about 3 or 4 feet from the edge.. but im still sceptical of the 2nd scenario

ive seen that at another forum, instead it went to the link and posted all those pics except the last one where the bigger green thing fell in the water, im pretty sure the rest are real, EXCEPT when the green one goes in too.
that said its impossible for the green one to fall in the water becuz of the side support beams. its like trying to roll a race kart over (without hitting anything offcourse)

also, many cars fall in to the sea etc when at the harbour, bad drivers parking, forgetting the handbrake etc etc

and not meaning to call you stupid, but I can see a splash, and water mist from a splash in the pictures, i'm inclined to say its real, all except the very last of the small images, the people are in exactly the same place as one of the earlier pics!

anyway, it was supposed to be some fun, not to be torn apart! [-X

ok, 1; the doors are open and 2: the car is pointed down to where the doors are open. there is probly only about 50 extra lbs. of water in that car, i doubt any more.

im just saying because the crane when its falling it slides over like 20 meters and falls facing the exact same angle as when it was securly pulling up the crane out of the water. seeing as how the arm thats pulling the crane up is at the front of the bigger crane, wouldnt that make it fall nose first into the water or change the direction of where the crane is facing just a little??

haha sorry, it just looks really fake to me so i pointed out why i thought so. but the more i look at it, the more im sure the first sequence is real. like the splash when the corolla falls into the water looks like a real splash, just theres no way the second fall could be true.

yes it is you can tell by slight fuzz around edges and stuff
