Some of you that I have on MSN are already aware of the Ford Fiesta we have at school. but for those that dont, here is a little info:
Its a Mk1 from the 1970's, and my friend and i have been messing with it for a while, replacing doors with replacement parts etc, and are now looking for more performance. Anyway, we are doing this afterschool in a MotorMechanics activity (the newbies are taught basic stuff on a Pug 205, so we get on with working on either this Fiesta, or fixing up the old MR2).

Now I have made a Video of Stage 1 work, some might call it pointless, but I felt as its a little bit of fun, i would post it on here :)

There is a High Quality (http://tom.sportscarforums.com/FiestaFun/FiestaMk1hi.wmv) (6.19mb) video and a Low Quality (http://tom.sportscarforums.com/FiestaFun/FiestaMk1lo.wmv) (2.53mb) video, both are the same, just different quality footage.

The original footage sounds much more like a hotrod than this does, but you get the idea from this video :p

any ideas for REALISTIC and free/exceptionally cheap mods would be welcome :)

Hello!

I am the driver featured in the first shot and last shot (wheelspin) in the fiesta video. We are looking for ideas so please try and use your imagination!

Thanks, Mark. :)

hmmmmmmmmmmmm. I have no clue. I really want to do something like this. I'm sure i can find an old mid 80's camaro that barely runs. That'd be fun to beat the hell out of. This is actually something my dad and his friends would do when they were in college. They found an old, crappy little renault and put a roll cage in and chopped the exhaust off. After that, they'd drive as fast as they could off a big hill and tried rolling the car as much as possible. They'd also drive it off jumps and stuff. They had lots of fun with it until they made a big dent in the oil pan, then it was done.

Wow, and that'd explain you. =P

First I wanna know what the purpose of the whole thing is...
I mean, if you want performance, and you have the time and know how. Blue print it, and rebuild that motor. Then add some BIGASS cardboard wing.

we are never allowed to drive it again because of a stupid teacher who came out of the building nearby, thought that someone had brought a motorcycle down to mess around with, luckily the car was parked up by then, and we made some excuses which he fell for, they were terrible excuses as well: 'we had a whole in the exhaust (pointing to a red car that was also in the car park) and we where revving the engine to find out where the hole was'. what an idiot :|
