2 great British sports cars. Wich one would you prefer and why? Maybe these 2 examples will help you choose:

Bentley Continental GT

Jaguar R-Coupe

My personal vote goes to the R-Coupe, i think it's more stylish and has more sports car looks.

well the R Type was just a concept so no OFFICIAL details exist, but I prefer its design. I think the back of the Continental looks a little odd.

id have the have the R Type if you can assume it would have similar power, aorund 550BHP.

I agree, i prefer the R-Coupe's design too. Finally some new, sportive lines on a Jaguar. I even like it over all other current Jaguars. And i also don't like the Continental's rear, it doesn't look like the rear of a sporscar, i think. It looks a bit like the Crossfire's rear, don't you think :? ?

Well, i don't think the R-Coupe even comes close to the Continental's power. The R-Coupe has a V8, the Continental has a 500hp V12. But we all can't tell yet, we'll just have to wait untill they release the official specs :( .

frpom memory doesnt the Continental Have a 550BHP W12 - the same as in the Phaeton only with a twin turbo?

Sorry, my mistake. I meant W12, i apologize.

You could be right, it could have 50 more hp than i stated. But as far as i know, it has 500hp, though. I'll check it out.

Hmmm, hard comparison. I think I prefer the Bentley, it seems a bit more 'exotic' to me.

Exactly, that's why i think this is an interresting comparison.

Then you'll probably be right. Doesn't mean any good for the R-Coupe  .

I think the exact opposite. I think the R-Coupe is more exotic ( has a more sportive look. ). I even think the Bentley has a boring design, there's nothing special about it....

I don't like these cars both!
Much to futuristic design!

And indeed these noses of those cars look quite much the same!

I didn't mean the design. I actually meant that Bentley has a more high-class name and Bentleys cars are more rare and that the name 'Jaguar' sounds a bit common to me. I see quite a lot of Jags here, but I've never seen a Bentley. Anyway, IMO.

Oh, i think i made a mistake there. Sorry Jim, i thought you meant the design of these cars....

I have also never seen a Bentley here, but i also haven't seen to many Jaguars. I saw a few, sure, but not much more.
