have you ever wanted a slightly bigger engine in your 911? Why not stick an LS1 V8 in it
Is this madness or just a whole load of fun?!!

A 911 with stock engine is hard to handel but this thing have to be very very very hard to control with all that weight over the rear axel, but i think it's a cool car and it's definitely unique.

I'm positive the LS-1 ruins the weight balance of the already rear-biased 911, now it would be like 30-70 F-R. Which means impossible to control.

i have read that it has been modified to be able to handle better than the older Porsches which were notoriously bad handlers, especially in the wet! (my uncle has told me that if i ever buy a porsche and drive it in the wet, i am really stupid, because he totalled a customer car whilst driving in wet weather, but i guess he hasnt moved with the times and the newer cars :p )

older Porsches which were notoriously bad handlersA car that is difficult to handle is not necessarily a bad handler. ;)

Dude the 911 Carrera RS ('72 I think) is considered the best 911 ever made!

I think it was 1973 and it was very hard to control.

It's unique.. I'll give it that. And i would be worried about weight balance.

i hate to revive an old thread, but i ran across this and just have to say something.. the LS1 motor is an all aluminum block/heads package, and if you read the page it weighs 66lbs less than the stock iron cast setup that was originally in the car. Study your american motors =)

That's actually pretty cool..
I personally like the 4g63 Porsche more, but this has got to have some killer acceleration..
Whoever owns it..come to arizona and drive me to Circle K..pleeeze
