I can't see the fun of this.. I read in the topic that he shifted to third, and then the car accelerated and he couldnt stop it. Offcourse he could have used clutch+brake, but he started to panic and he didn't thought about that. So when he hit the house he as doing approximately 80mph(!!!). If he would have hit something inside the house the guy would have got killed instantly.
So i would say: Poor guy, stupid scooby.....

I think it is quite funny the guy went right thru a house with his uncle’s car.:)
And if the gas gets stuck then the only things you have to do is push down the clutch and pull it out of gear and break
But I is good that he is ok

If you turn off the engine with the key you also gone lock the steering wheel
And I don’t want to drive in 150km/h without a steering wheel :)

Nope, the steering is locked only after you remove the key from the keyhole. :)

Nope, the steering is locked only after you remove the key from the keyhole. :)no, when the car is off the steering wheel is locked you would have to have to turn the key a bit to unlock the steering wheel

NO, I repeat, this happens only when you remove the key. Try it in your car. If you switch off the engine but keep the key inside, it will not lock. At least not in any cars I've driven.

Jims right here, but only if you turn off the engine and leave the key in, if the steering lock occurs while the key is out, then yes you have to turn the key, but only into ignition stage 1 (maybe 2 on some cars) so you could still be ok ;)
but you couldnt do it in a saab, you have to place the car into reverse gear before removing the keys! :-k

But wouldn't you reverse and then stop the car when you drive into your driveway.

Since he destroyed the garage, why didn't he just take the BBQ and run? It's sitting right there!

Because it's cool. =)
If I had his car, I'd, well, I wouldn't, not on a WRX. Maybe a Supra or Silvia...

the turbo is definately from a Porsche, and maybe he upgraded the turbo so just stuck it on, looks tacky i think...
I saw an Escort RS2000 last week with RS2000turbo on the back, that looked better, and sounded awesome too!

Yeah, the Turbo badge is definitely from a Porsche, but I think it's more likely that he put this thing on the car just for image reasons. At least, this is what a lot of people do. Once I saw some Suzuki microvan with the Mercedes badges and when I went out for a walk today I saw the Kia Sorento with the Jeep badges.

well it would be alot different if he put a porsche symbol on it rather then putting the turbo on it. anybody check the tip on the WRX? crap that thing prolly sounds sick. no if only it was 1 inch larger then it would sound like a pissed off grizzly!! in a good way of course :p

OOOO you know what must have happened something must have gotten cought on the throttle lever. and when something gets cought on the throttle lever the gas is stuc. and theres nothing you can do until you pop your hood and fix it.
for those who dont know where the "throttle lever" is located, it sits next to the throttle body, might take a bit to look for it. the throttle lever is basically an accelerator on your engine. want to test it? turn on your engine, pop your hood and have fun pushing the lever. make sure the gear isn't on reverse or 1st - 6th. we dont want to see you killed when there isn't even a driver :p
also the throttle lever looks like a loop with a cord leading inside the throttle body.

Why does it matter if it has a turbo or not. The turbo sign looks good on it.

Ok, I read it now. But, still, he could have aimed for something less important, say a lamp post or a tree. We have similar problems with the Go-Karts that I work with, the throttle cable gets stuck on the CARB and then it just revs its nuts off and lunges forward at like 40-50mph until u hit a wall. BTW, when u hit the wall, it hurts... A lot.
