from all generations i love the 1999 car.....!!!

the old impreza from the genaration 2000 and the new from the genaration 2003

The newer models havent really made any more ground since the 2000 car. Its only got uglier

much more uglier specially the 2003 with the stupid headlights !

although I see the have plans to change them, they are going to more rectangular.
Subaru said they where tring to get a more friendly family image with there old one.
But I dont understand that whenever that car scares small children with its brute ugliness!

Yeah... the new impreza is too damn ugly... those headlights simply destroyed that car... as well as the new "motor's cover" with that damn intake (sorry but I don't remember it's name in english :oops: ...)

I think that the design of the old one is a bit old-fashioned, and typically "japanese". The new one is more modern, and IMO more agressive. :wink:

i think the headlights are very silly .. ugly !
i hate the new style and i cant wait till they AT LEAST change the headlights!

..the only thing that subaru can take comfort in is that the STi wont be bought for its looks.

the looks are ugly the preformance is great....
if your looking for a preformance car ... you will probably get a WRX

Also why would you not spend 30K on a car that'll beat almost anything on the road - I think both these cars are fantastic value for money.
You can get a '99 for less than 10K now - how could you say no!

i heard about a guy from my country how bossted his STI ....
an old one ... it have 465 HP for now ...
his next tune will be to change the 2 liter engine with a new 2.5 .....

i would prefer an old STI with the power of the new one :)

I admit I enjoy all of the Imprezas. Yeah, I said it! All of them! The newest ones are very Industrial, Very tough, yet, more.....refined in engineering i guess. I personally like all of the Pre Bubbly headlighted WRX looks of the car the best though. They have this romantic, instant classic design. They summon visions and thoughts of true Pavement Knights, pioneering extreme tuning, and the good old days when killer imports were MUCH LESS mainstream and more underground. Lets hear it for the good old days and the Knights in Blue and Bronze wheeled armor.

PS Amazingly enough, I dislike(hate is closer) bronze and gold wheels of any kind of rims, goes to show what a shweet car the old school Imprezas are.

I like the WRC headlights on the old gen Impreza (the ones with the projectors).

I think the stock headlights don't look as good.

But I'm still getting used to the new lights :D

but as i see the majority dont like i t..
so i think this was one of Subaru's bad disessions ....
