Me a Skyline i like 4WDs and its got more horse power

Cars arren't only made for performing. I think the design is crucial, not the performance. But still, i'd take the Skyline as well, it looks agressive, wich i like :) .

i supppose tats true but a car which looks great but performance is rubbish is still a crap car like du cellica.

it was hard for me to chose, but when i looked for some pictures of both cars, i really chose the Toyota Supra(it is the Fast and the furious version, but that one is really fantastic, look for yourself and then chose :wink:

Ow, my BRAIN! Friggen eh. Okay, first of all, WHICH Skyline are you all talking about?! You could all ahve a diffrent model in mind. good lord! Second, the Supra really doesn't need to be AWD because it already handles like one. Thats what makes it so cool! And the engine is overly electronicaly controled, still, AWD handling, basically. Why would you want it suercharged rather than its already Turbo charged set up? Superchargers are MUCH heavier than turbos and don't get as much power from an engine, so again, I ask WHY?!

Oh, to answer the question at hand :mrgreen: The Supra is KILLER! But I will take a Skyline GT-R 33 Spec-V please, thank you very much.

These two cars are very different, which makes them difficult to compare. Just look at the prices and you'll get an idea of what I'm talking about. If I had the money then I'd go for the Skyline R33 or R34. As it stands I could afford the 98 Twin Turbo Supra, with some luck. The Skyline, however, it beyond my grasp.

Hmm, so far there's only a pic of one Supra which EVERYONE has seen and then a little Remote Controled (or SOMETHING!) R-34. Not the best comparison. Anyway, there's also a diffrence in choosing a stock and then a customed tuned one. Stock? Yes, then the Skyline R-34 V-Spec. If I could have whatever goodies I wanted on it? (not the BEST name, I'll admit :lol: I can see it now, "yeah! I got a FLUG!" :lol: )
You have yourself a nice little twin tubo inline-6 with a head spinning 800 hp @ 8000 rpm and a neck snapping 805 Nm of torque @ 6000 rpm.

Im going with the Skyline but I'm not sure. The supra was shaky for me when I drove my friends car. But i never really got the chance to drive a GTR.

If both cars are almost standard , i'll take the Skyline , but if i could get a Su[ra like he was in The Fast and The Furious 1 , I'LL TAKE THE SUPRA!!

Well, as I have said it before, the Skyline GT-R (from R32 to R34) is my favorite japanese sports car along with the RX7.
But my favorite "Sky" GT-R version is the R33 V-Spec and its respective variations, the Nismo 400R Preceiding model and the GT-R 4door Autech Version tuned by Nismo.

Uh...it really depends on what model you're talking about: R32, R33, R34. And about how you can tune it better because it's newer; not entirely true. Old cars can have more tuning products on hand than newer cars.

But getting on hand with the topic; I'd take an R34 GT-R V-Spec 2. It's such a beast and Supra's don't look that good to me. The R34 looks good, is amazingly fast and yeh.

And also for tuning reasons. The legendary RB26DETT is an easy bugger to tune; you can get 1200HP from it!

it is really old, I'm suprised I didn't post a response before, but anyway I say supra because before 2 fast 2 furious only true sports car knew what a skyline was, then when the movie came everybody loves it and most of them don't know one thing about it, I know the first movie had a similar effect on the supra but not to the same extent because many people already knew about the supra, so basically I'm just sick of ricers talking but not knowing about the skyline, it's a fantastic car no doubt but it's becomming a bit overrated IMO

With regards to looks the supra has a great overall shape, and the 1991 onwards model is much better looking than the R 30 and R 31 and R 32 skyline, But performance wise the r32 gts 25 and gt3 are immaculate. Overall the R33 vspec 1 UK spec would be my favourite with the R34 gtr v spec seccond to that. Anyway the supra is heavier than the skyline gtr whcih is also driftable aswell just tweak round the atessa systems diffs or bore it out to 400+ BHP.

the GT-R skylines are probebly one of the best time attack cars in the world. for those who dont know the skyine beet the world record in track times. JUST because of its AWD system. in the 1/4 times. the skyline all the way in the first part. then the RWD well catch up.

my bad. and no it depends on what your doing, if you hitting a cornor hard then it is 4WD. if you rear tires are completly loose then it goes FWD sometimes full FWD. if you front wheels go out. well you get it.

actully the new G35 are the skylines atm well A LOT of people say that because it has an inline 6. i dont really fallow the people o this but even the japenese are calling them the new skyline atm.

I've heard the same thing too. But i dont see how the g35 resembles it at all really. I mean the g35 is very smooth. But as for a supra vs skyline, its a toss-up, but ive been brought up with early 90's cars so im going with the Supra

Supra all the way, that AWD is only good for launching from a dead stop but once the car picks up traction all that extra weight can be quite a drag.
Take the Jun JZA 80 Supra which ran 249mph :shock: which in my humble opinion is damn good for a 3.2 litre turbocharged Straight 6 engine. the damn Mclaren F1 has a 6.1 litre V12 engine and does 240mph :x ... need i say more??? :lol:

The difference is that the F1 engine will last for 100 years and will definitely drink less fuel than the tuned Supra engine. It is also NA which is an advantage. Plus an F1 is simply much more than a (very) fast car. :)

Btw, how many times have you run your car or any car with a speed greater than 150 mph...? :roll:

That's because it is a Skyline. It is the V35 Skyline which is rebadged G35 for America. Even the four-door version is a real Skyline. You can't say the Japanese, home of the Skyline, lie about the G35 being a Skyline. The GT-R will be based off the G35/Skyline but instead of the Skyline badge, it will simply be called the GT-R.

i love both cars, but i reckon the RB26-DETT is much more potent. Small mods will make 300+kw at the fly. Besides, the GTR drivetrain must be good for Top Secret to rebuild its Supra with GT-R running gear. So.... :roll: my vote will be the Godzilla!! :smt023

i personaly like the Skyline. but i think Supra is a better choice, just because it's already has a nice style to it. not like the skyline. you have to be a big fan of skyline to get one. because if you don't tune it the car looks pertty ugly.

Say what? As in 'standard' do you mean the GT-R or like a GTS-T or what? Please clarify, becuase if you mean the GTS-T, they sure as hell do not have as much potenital as the GT-R.

the "standard" gtr, as in unmodified, as these are both GREAT cars to modify, i based my decision upon that

body is too damn heavyif you got the money, you can get a carbon fibre body, or just remove rear seats, etc. to lighten the weight,so its not too much of a worry

Skyline, it's a race car for the road with the history, and in America the rarity to rival some of the biggest names from Europe, plus I just like it more... :D

Supra, better looking and I will take RWD over AWD anyday.

Nothing too significant actually...I've seen a few around. It's just a hassle to do really. It's just a matter of believing him I guess.

If ur talkin about me i do have a 240 with a RB26TT but sorry no pics yet no cam....wish i could afford one still makin payments on my engine.........damn i hate bein in debt!!!!!!
