which one do you prefer? mine clear choice is the 95 by far

97-98 when they made the 4 door sedan. my dad owns this car and it is cool as hell.
and plus who cares? an m3 is an m3. i would like to own all 3 gen.

Yea, I have to admit, despite being a four-door that car is friggin' cool. I would EASILY give the Prelude away for it. M3s are pure racing machines. My parents considered buying a 1999 M3 four-door. We got pretty serious, but when we started it up, it idled pretty hard. No it wasnt a bad engine. All M3s do this, its because this engine is set up so well to be a race engine, that it has all good and bad properties of it.
I dont think that the engine is any different from 95 to 99 accept an increase of 5 - 10 horsepower and some slight suspension tweaks, so why not go for the one with fewer years? :lol:

The first M3 was pure race but they've been getting softer and softer of late

The later it goes, the better it is. Perhaps not "racier", but better.
The current M3 sound's great. I like the 1997 shape the best, simple but elegant.
