Oh, how I thought I was going to love the new C-Class. Then I sat in one at the MotorExpo in London - what a disappointment. The dullest dash of any Mercedes in recent years covered with a lot of cheap plastic. Big let-down.

Fortunately, the outside helps make up for that. It looks great, particularly in sport guise, and the AMG is wonderfully menacing looking. I'm not so sure about the steering wheel - horrid plastic thing in the middle. Why? Why not leather?

Love it generally, though.

I don't like the C-Class. Well, the interior looks very good but the exterior isn't that good.. i mean, isn't even good. Actually, I do like the rims.. And of course, the engine :D Rims, Interior, Engine.. I think that's all I like here.

I really like the looks of this car. I like how its paddle, and that 7 and a half thousand RPM redline probably sounds great. I like its small size and large engine which will really prove to pack the punch (hopefully)

I just cant wait to see them on the road.

Quite decent looking, but those wheels just don't work on a sedan, even if it has undergone AMG treatment.

I'm becoming more and more impressed with MB these days. I used to love them as a kid, only because I was given a MB remote control racer, but I lost interest in them. This car though is stunning and definately, one of the better looking sedans that have come out in the last few years.

And those seats look comfier than my bed. If someone had mentioned an M3-rival to me, I'd have immediately thought it would have been from Audi and would have never considered MB. Good example of how you should never assume anything.

Hey looking good, I like the alloys, performance not too shabby either !

Go Mercedes they are definently looking much better than BMW in terms of looks, styling and performance.

Yesterday when I was it for the first time I thought it looked good, but wierd. Now it's grown on me and I LOVE it! still not as good as M3 though.. Not by a long shot.

This car is crazy. I love that interior speedometer shot, that's a nice pic. And I love that speedo dial, it looks so sexy. The seats look nice and comfortable for long drives, and the specs look really nice - 457 horsepower... sweet. I really like this car. Great work Merc.

Well what can i say, i love it. The exterior appeals to me the most, it just looks so sporty and aggressive. Also that interior looks very comfy with those wide leather seats. And even better, it has a 4.3L V8 producing 457hp, thats not too bad. IT should really compete with the M3...

M3 only wins in weigth. In the other aspects, the Benz wins clearly.

Pretty impressive, all these AMG Benz's seem to be really awesome when they hit the road. This one will probably be no exception. Great looks, great interior and good performance figures aswell. Seems as though AMG seem to be able to get 400bhp/400lb ft+ pretty much effortlessly. M3 challenger most definitely.

this car looks amazing. even the stock one looks awesome. guess it's worth it waiting a long time for AMG to finish this masterpiece. oh an the meters and seats are WOOOOW. but i think i still prefer the M3. the M3 has nicer looks and has a better history.

Now that's one of the truly great Benz I've seen for quite a while. Most Benz have never seem to make me go 'Wow'. Not this one, this one is stunning!

I really never liked the C-class but this one looks ok considering that it's my first sneak preview at Mercedes' 2008 line-up.

This thing looks like a great rival to the M3 and RS4. I have to say the engine in this one is easily my favorite based on the info I have seen. It does seem rather heavy but its not really much worse than the M3 or RS4. Both the exterior and interior are great looking from what I have seen. Outside its really aggressive and DTM car like, I love that. The interior seems to reek of quality in the same way that the RS4 does. The dash does look a little boring but who the hell looks at it any way?

I remember reading something a while ago saying that a certain AMG C class would come with a manual transmission. For those with photographic memories, was it this car that they were talking about or an I out of my mind?

I think it's the C36. But definetly the old benz has manual trannys.

That looks a little like the test track at Brooklands, probably isn't though :p
Nice car, I guess, I love the colour too, it seems a little high though?
