Well as its my 21st today the weekend just gone i spent with my family and friends and it turns out a pal of mine traded in his saxo vtr and got a C2 vtr with the paddle shift gearbox, i was asking how it was and if it was strange driving with no clutch when used to full manual, we chatted for a min then we took the keys and took it to an industrial estate nearby which is always clear of police at 10pm and i took if for a blast, it was strange at forst with no clutch for pulling away but was really good when i got used to it, the gear changes are quick and smooth, the car has plenty of drivers aides such as abs and traction control, the road was very wet and it was raining, i took it up and down the stretch of road and back (about 2 miles) and slowed to about 50mph for a long sweeping bend as it was wet and not my car, he told me to push it a little, he has had it lowered and had a intake and a exhaust to the car but thats all, to my shock i took the bend at 80mph (still accelerating) in the wet and the carfelt rock steady on the ground and didnt even twitch, i have always disliked the cars looks but i was very surprised at its aceleration and the way it holds the bends, i took it to about 115mph but in the space i had thats all i could reach.
just shows how looks can be decieving

Cool, sounds like a lot of fun. Last time I did some hard driving in the rain was about 8 years ago in my old rear wheel drive '86 BMW...not really the car for the job.

I always liked Citroens, but we can't get the new ones here anymore...

Wow that must have been a great ride. But woah put some full stops in, there was about 1 or 2 in that whole paragraph.. lol. Anyways must've been weird without the clutch but again getting used to it that quickly was good and getting to that speed on wet roads.. that's an achievement.

It seems like you had a great time driving the C2 VTR, i can't tell it's a fun little car to drive. Also going 80mph around the bends in a Citroen is just amazing, maybe paddle shifters aren't that bad after all, although the conventional shifter is always better.:p

im not too sure about that after using it, i think i prefer paddle shift, its quick easy and feels great. the traction control works wonders in the wet lol

You had a great time. It was the 1.4 or the 1.6? I think that is the 1.4 cause it has sensodrive.
You should drive the VTS.:D .
Although i think that you had a nice time.

Very clever in the wet, wasn't it =D>. The amount of people you slate for irresponsible driving... Pfft. Practice what you preach, eh?

it was an industrial estate at about 10pm, no cars for about 3 miles each way, im not stupid enough to do it around other people, the same industrial estate is used for illegal drag racing on a monday night, barely anybody knows about it and its been going on for 2 years and nobody has been hurt or caught.

Sounds like you had fun man. Those cars are certainly very nippy, looks great in that colour aswell.

And happy 21st man. :)
