For half a second I thought they had gone back to the whaletail spoiler! What a let down when I figured out it was just the regular style one.
I dislike the wheels, and that weird rear end but I like the body shape and the hood.

Did they go up a wheel size?

I think they did? Isn't the size wheels on a 911 Turbo is a 19 inch tire. I lik how the fact that they are bring backout the GT2 but the vent on the rear bumper is a bit much. The spoiler is alright. Its going to be a great car overall though. We will see...

It needs to differ from the rest of the range more.

I've already seen some spy pics of the new 911 GT2 on another forum, and I just love this car! Perhaps even more than I loved the previous GT2. I'm very anxious to see what kind of performance numbers the new one turns out.

I quite like it, although I agree with AM138 that it needs to differ from the rest. I really just looks like they've combined parts of the Turbo and the GT3. Its got the GT3's style rims and the Turbos side vents. Although the vent before the hood looks good on it, well it looks good on all modern Porsche's IMO.

I seem to like it a lot. Looks like the GT3 which is a very stylish car. Looks more aggressive, although I'm not too sure on the rear bumper, and I like those rims though, and it looks good in white.
Any rumoured specs or anything for this car?

I really like it. Agressive style, love it. 2 years ago, when i went to the USA one GT2 (previous model) got in front of my fathers car. Amazing sound.

The vents on the rear-end look like gills. Did Steve Saleen have a hand in the design, or will this be the first amphibious Porsche?

It looks nice but the rims are a big disappointment - I hate those rims especially when seeing those same boring style no-chrome rims on it's predecessor. But it looks nice, lots of vents on the rear end, the front bumper is smooth and the spoiler looks good... But I really want them to go a step further - especially with the looks and performance. But this is good itself anyway.

I think it looks decent, the vents in the back look a bit odd, but overall not too shabby at all. I hope the vent they use at the front of the hood is black like on the GT3. I'm with you bossesjoe, a whale tail would be freakin sweet to see back on a 911.

In my opinion it looks pretty good actually. The rear bumper looks alright with all those vents and the spoiler isn't too bad. I also like the rims since they suit the car. Although the only thing i hate is the front bumper which is ugly. But overall Porsche did a great job on making it different to the 911 Turbo and the GT3. Can't wait to see the specs...

Thanks for the welcome! I am indeed a Porsche fan; I'd like to get my hands on a 997 Carrera S someday, but I'm making do with another flat engined car - Subaru WRX wagon. :)

Awesome. Looks nice, and I'd say looks like the sexiest of the Porsche range. Although it still doesn't make me think 'wow' like some of my favourite cars do!
And, by the way, I'm sure those wheels are just being used on the test version. They are of the same design as used on the 996 GT3/GT3 RS;

Although, I dread to think how much this will cost. I also dread to think how fast this'll be. All the GT2's ever are is the lightweight(ness) of the GT3 mixed with the power of a tuned version of the Turbo's engine. An awfully successful mix, this car will be a flyer. R.I.P. Nurburgring records! lol

And you talk about hideous spoilers on the back! Jesus christ, that's a disgrace to mankind! What the hell is that?!
Please don't tell me that's stock... Because that generation of 911's in my eyes is the best. I'm not too fond of the latest ones...

I don't like the rear of the new GT2...IMO too many air vents. But from the front it still looks very aggressive and "Porschey". Can't wait

well the previous ones absolutley looked great, but this just...ehh..
well the GT3 wheels dosent suit the car, and its more like a turbo so its nothing much, just a changed front bumper, spoiler and rear bumper that has more vents than any trucks and stuff...well, i dont know, i dont quite like the rear end of that thing, but i like the spoiler that they did to keep it "GT2ish" but the vents looks abit too small

thats what the GT2 was always like ..Porsche took the main elements of the Turbo Model and added more power and reduced weight..look at the previous models as well .. they look identical a bit from the Turbo exept with differant aero + more power + lighter

this car looks amazing overall. the front is awesome. but i have to agree with everyone else. there are too many back vents and they're placed in a weird fashion. yeah i wish that humongous tail is used too. it would be WOW.

Ok as we all know, I love Porsche than I love anything. I'm of German heritage and its only natural to love the best cars your home country builds.
Now let me start off by saying, If this car ever comes out....im going to do anything and everything to own one. I mean just look at it. With over 520 horsepower (as of now.) its going to pin you to your chair like god damn carnival ride.....you know the gravitron, same thing.
Its truly my favorite car now. I mean it looks amazing, that rear bumper/diffuser is amazing yet key to the car going over 200 miles per hour.
Congratulations Porsche....this is your pinnacle.

hey the car doesn't look all that bad.it's good.except for that weird rear bumper.the 993 gts is the best looking.and the pic skyline_luva pasted must be a gemballa gtr600.

That's a great porsche. I really can't wait. The front bumper looks ok, the rear bumper is so awesome. I like these exhaust tips there. Also the rims are good. Not great but good. This car will rock. No doubt for it.
Any rumoured specs or anything for this car?
I found that this car will probably have around 520hp from the 3.6liter boxer engine. Off course 520 turboish ponies. lol

For me everything looks good, they could just change the rims and the rear bumper but thats ok..

without that bumper I highly doubt you would want to go over 200 miles per hour in that thing.

Well, I read in Auto Express a few months back that a 0-60 time of less than 3.5 seconds is expected and it'll (definately) get up to at least (most likely over) 200mph.
Sounds mean...
£300k supercar-matching (even beating) performance for like £150k? Bargain. Never thought I'd say £150,000 is a bargain, but hey!

^I see, thanks. Glad to see that Porsche are breaking the magical 200mph barrier, their Turbo went 192mph which is bloody fast whichever way you put it, but 200mph is awesomely fast.
