This happened with Ernesto Viso yesterday during the GP2 race at Magny Cours. He was inches away of getting killed in this crash. It happened during a Safety Car period after two teammates crashed against each other at the start(they were quailfied 1st and 2nd).

I saw it live, and my heart literally skipped a few beats. I seriously thought he was dead, or atleast seriously injured.

I think he stayed in the hospital for a night. Not sure about his injury's, nothing serious if i'm correct.

What can i say the guy is lucky... but those two at start, what were they thinking? They are from one team, they have 1 2 after qual. and they do something like this. Team boss must have been pissed.

^^ Glad to hear that! It was indeed a great race. Lots of overtaking, but also lots of stupid mistakes...

As for Bruno, he certainly ain't a Ayrton, but he's doing ok in the GP2 championship. Won a race in Spain

That was a really bad crash. Good to hear that he was still alive though, that crash looked really horrifying, and for a moment there I also did think he was a goner. But luckily he was alive, that was really bad, worse than Kubica's smash during the other GP!

That crash was crazy. There was 3 incidents. The 2 cars crashing onto each other at the start, Viso's crash and then in the pit stop where a driver ran over a crew member. As for the crash, he was literally flying and then crashed heavily with the barrier and ended up on the other side. Luckily no marshals were hurt since the car was very close to them. Hopefully he'll be ok.

That was certainly a big one CarRocker! I can't imagine what it would have been like to see that one live. I hope he is ok.

it was a big crash but viso don't have anything a littel pain in his head and o bit of a stif body but next weekend he is driving the car that means it are very safe cars those gp2 cars:p

That looks really bad. I heard about it on F1, but hadn't seen it yet. The first crash at the start looked bad as well, the car going over the top could have hit drivers head below, then the second crash his head was nearly rolled into that wall! And then another accident in the pit lane! Its almost like a repeat of the Canadian F1 race.

Holy crap if his head landed on the barrier his head and neck would ahve been crushed and he would have been dead. Wow, what a lucky escape there, terrible accident.

How about the fire bottle he decapitated? It spewed its toxic/photogenic contents into the air for minutes.
