Slant nose 911? They were popular in the 1980's. The slant nose was an option on some of the 911 models. You could also get aftermarket packages.

==" the slantnose looks like a toy. Or a photoshop. They look so short and bulky with the slanted nose. I don't see why that would be popular

I'm not a professional with Porsche's so i really don't know which model you saw. But the slant nose 911 BMW BOSS pointed out fits the description pretty well. It looks awesome, i have never seen it before, it looks nice with the gold rims and big side vents...

Or that riced out Corvette?

ZING!

Okay, now that that's out of my system...

I may be wrong, but the only other Porsche ever made with pop-ups that hasn't been mentioned is the almighty 914. It's technically a roadster, but I'm sure there was an option to get a hard top on it...although the rear end really doesn't look much like a 911's. Could have been a Kit car, too. I'm sure there's a fiberglass Miata to 911 Kitcar thing out there.

The only Porsches with popup headlights are the slantnose, 914, and the FR Porsches excluding the 968.

One of these? Otherwise it would have to be some sort of kit car like VTEC_Dreams said.

The 914/6 was a hardtop, but there were only 8 or so of them. They were 914's with flat-6's. There are also two 914/8's.

There were some 1700+ 914/6s built from the factory. They were all Targa tops.

I saw an article about a glass-bodied 911 with a 908 O-8 engine in it; but the only 8-cyl 914s I ever heard of had Chevys stuffed in them.

Only two total were made, one that was fuel injected and one that was carbeurated. However I'm pretty sure there were also targa tops.

Slant nose 911s look great, I must say. Never seen those before up until now, but I do quite like them.
