270bhp 2.0 T-FSI? ahh god i hate the sound of that.
they already said the S3's 255bhp 2.0 T-FSI wasn't responsive enough to be as fun as the standard lag-free 197bhp one is...
why can't they just use a slightly tuned version of the 3.2-litre V6 FSI? :|

And there's a V6 for the A3. Audi have seemed to lost it.

Mmm....tasy, although it would have been nice to see the 3.2 V6 in there, but they might want to save a little weight, but I'm not sure. For a really hardcore version, we'll have to see if the TT RS ever comes out (which I hope it will.)
But, this one, should have a good bodykit and good power and torque, and it's got good acceleration times aswell, so should be a quick mover.

I think you are right, weight might be the issue here (I see no other).
but at those performance and those looks, the price seems very good to me.
yeeees, and as for the A3, I also hope an RS trend for the TT. c'mon Ingolstadt ! I know you're reading this !

270-hp version of the 2.0-liter FSI mill, not the 3.6-liter six audistes are hoping to see in a TTRS model. Torque, it's said, will be in the 250-260 lb-ft range and zero-to-60 times are speculated to be around 5.6 seconds.
Performance stats aren't that bad. They look quite good. And if they do come to Frankfurt or wherever then that's pretty good for you. Hardly here in Australia we don't get all the cool cars except the new STi's...

I totally agree with you. It's pretty pointless they modified a 2.0 litre T-FSI. It would be way more powerful and better if they modified the 3.2-litre V6 FSI. That way it can compete with more faster cars. But anyways it looks good, the S-Line body kit is nice, it should also be more powerful with the power increase. Can't wait for the TT RS to come out...

It would have great performance. But they push and push this engine. How much horsepower will hold this engine? I mean it has great tuning capabilities but how much they will get this engine?
Although the tt has a great bodykit, good performance, nice interior. It's good.

Do you mean in terms of reliability or lag or what ? The article didn't mention how the engine was modified, so who knows, don't assume they simply added a larger turbo. the 197bhp version can produce 270 bhp simply by remapping so it's not as simple as turbo size. Chances are it's got the same turbo as the s3 with just some minor tweaks to other parts I mean it's only a 5 bhp increase

Yes in terms of reliability. We don't know if they changed the turbo.
You know they push and push this engine in order to make more horsepower. This engine has very good tuning potential. It accepts customizing very easy. You add a part and you can increase its horsepower easily.
